Yes...all the good times ARE worth the bad times! The secret is to focus on the good even throughout the bad.

I'ma be callimg you tomorrow or Wednesday...depends on whether this meeting happens or not. I'll probably come check you if you've got the time and you're up to it. :)

Then truly what would be the point? Point of existence, yeah I believe I know what you're sayin.. such as if everyone's going to die what's the point in living. OK so I asked that but, like Coz has said the good times are worth the bad, that's what we live for.

You could question why all the time Be, you know this. But you'll always have an answer (and you know this as well!) Nobody's invicible, especially with depression and everybody's here for you. :grouphug:

Yeah I think eye'll agree on the good times bad times comment.. I wouldnt have believed it in January when i was in utter depression and i felt everyday was gloom.. I just have to realize what I have and what I dont have, and accept the things I cannot change.. life if for living, and im doin my best everyday..

I ask why...but no one answers....I ask when but time keeps goin
I ask where...but I just can't see the way

We all wonder these things, and what's the point of it all. It's like you can't keep going because somethings always holdin you back. If you're always lookin up, you can't see where you're goin, and if you're always looking down you'll never see a rainbow. I guess for me it's about looking around instead of looking back or forward. If I dwell on the past I can't stop thinking about mistakes and regrets, and if I just look forward I can't but see all the things in my way. Staying focused on one thing, no matter which way it is gives me vertigo...so me..I just keep looking around.

I think its one of those things that you can only answer yourself.. its an interpretation and opinion, and everyones is gonna be different.. and if someone gave you an answer.. one would be upset if the outcome or answer was wrong.. there's really no way of answering it.. and I know it was more of an expression than question.. I am always shooting those types of questions towards my life and what goes on in it.. Im very very in to analyzing things.. My whole family is Catholic, and all of my peers, friends and associates are Christian.. and it just aches them for them to know im not a Christian.. those looks like "poor guy, he isnt saved" or "he doesnt understand"

When the real answer is.. I do understand.. my whole life I was raised and studied the Christian bible.. but whats wrong with experimenting with other religions and thoughts? :dunno: I think its a natural process of a human and I think that its okay for anyone to do that.. even if u dont end up the same denomination as your family.. People have to be reasonable in this area.. and I know that most arent.. but im a very open minded guy and im always interpreting things outside the cliche way of thinking.. I think there's more to life than what i've been told, and my morals are stronger than ever.. I feel im a better person stepping outside of the religions.. I am a firm believer in God, but not in the same way as the Christian faith, or really most of them.. I have my own beliefs and i've learned from each.. and putting it down on paper or trying to explaining it just decreases the meaning I feel inside.

Sorry for rambling, but thats how I feel about it.

ive had small periods of depression over the past few years but the true depression came when i was away from my family for the longest period of time, having people around who care and who you really care about can make all the difference i think.. when stuff happens to them it takes my mind of my little problems ,when good things happen to me it warms them to hear it and vice versa, a network of caring people is what i personally need to survive ! without that .. yes i could definately say why be alive........

[My 2 cents] The past can always be looked back upon and learned from to make a better future. You can make a better future for yourself by correct past mistakes (or more positively repeating past successes). The irony: this can only be done in the present.

You have to ask yourself: Are my best times behind me or in front of me? You know what your answer to this should always be.

[End-O-2 cents]

I feel ya, be! I don't understand, how of all people on this forum you could feel that way! You don't know but at the same time you DO know how many thousands and thousands of lives you've touched! I know mine! I used to be so damn depressed and I would sit back and listen to your songs over and over and over and over again! They helped me to time travel til the pain was somewhat bearable (don't laugh at my pronusciation)! o.k., til I could get my ass up and face this damn fuk, piece of sh*t, az, OUR world... How wonderful she is! How's that for contradiction?! But Thank You, be!

Anyway, be, I know depression very very well!

Our feelings are our own! I can't gauge my feelings on a specific subjuct or circumstance, by yours nor vice versa...or even compare so I can't tell you not to feel anyway about anything! I can and will tell you that your life has a purpose if it ain't nothing but to get me through a day! That is what it is! We know the rabbit hole goes much deeper that that!It is what it T.I. is!! If I have to keep going in this crap you do too!, brother! Go gget drunk or do what ya do to escape, come back and pump out one of those get Damien through his time songs, dude!

Much Love for YOU, be

Sitting in a hotel in Louisville, KY, tripping off the good vibes of great music and a belly full of wine! Made a random and spontaneous Imix for you, Be … if you have Itunes. Songs you might not dig -- some folky and acoustic, no hip hop -- but thought I'd E your way, regardless. Maybe you can squeeze some inspiration out of something here:

IMix Link (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPublishedPlaylist?id=89905)

"It's only life afterall"
"It won't mean a thing in a hundred years"
"I've seen clouds from both sides now … I really don't know clouds at all."
"If I laugh just a little bit, maybe I can forget the chance That I didn't have to know you And live in peace, in peace"
"I've got many rivers to cross and it's only my wind that keeps me alive"

Be, I wish we were all there to give you a big group (but manly) hug. You're one of a kind, an inspiration, "our" artist -- we love ya.

Oh … and, Chipper up, motherf#cker! :ohnoes: ;)

Sorry for the sinicism...( I hope I spelled that correctly)!

Well, CoZ I tend to be hopeless at times... Actually desperately hopeless!! Only at times!!! I see the light most of the time get'n to the light is a different matter for me!! I struggle to arrive approach the shine... seems when I get close I turn away... think'n I can return when I'm good and ready!!! Slowly learning that one should take advantage of the progress and not degress for complacency for the position... rather taking advance for granted and having to work even harder to get to the place I strived to attain!! Ohh, how so lazy, foolish is as foolishness does unto me... rambling babbling yet making plenty of sense... Dollars escape me for I escape utilizing them... If and only if you catch my drift! A dollar spent to spend time destroying my so called life...

Although, Cozmo D

I am maturing and I am learning, maybe slowly!!
But one day.... one day
I will rise to the level that a GROWN ASS MAN should be, and there I will petrify!!

As I go rooting through the archives to catch up on what's been going on ...

I definitely think that the good times are worth the bad times. I've found that going through the bad times helps me to develop ... the thick skin? the courage? to accept the good times when they are offered me, or to try to create my own. There are times when I get the odd feeling of working without a net, of slight vertigo without being near a physical ledge. I think that having gone through bad times and confronted fears makes that falling feeling less overwhelming, less panick inducing. One last, and comparatively small, hurdle into the unknown, and a future I can watch myself create is visible.

A fear of the unknown, a fear of being hurt again, keeps me stagnating ... and hurting for purely internal reasons. Facing the potential ... though not the guarantee ... of pain is certainly worth not feeling dead inside to me. It's difficult to pull myself out of a zombie-like state, but I find it worse to live it and be aware of it than to risk and at least be more fully present.

It's guiding myself through the transition that I detest. I avoid it like a vile medicine. But it's necessary.
