Does Want 1 & 2 (Rufus Wainwright)count as 1 album? Judges??!?!?!
I'll just go with Ten albums otherwise i'll get the rest of my collection mad at me.
1) Pet SOunds-The Beach Boys
2)Wilco-Summerteeth
3) Beatles-Sgt Pepper
4) PM Dawn- Dearest Christian
5) Ryan Adams-Gold
6) The Jayhawks-Rainy Day Music
7) Couting Crows- This desert life (hell we are on a deserted island right?)

About 5 of those ten could shuffle on a moments notice.
I do not suppose I shall be remembered for anything. But I don't think about my work in those terms. It is just as vulgar to work for the sake of posterity as to work for the sake of money.

regarding the question of Want 1 and 2 counting together..
Yes!
its getting released as a double album soon.

Pretty sneaky desert island choice SDL! I like your moxey i just don't like it anywhere near my pants.
I remember going to see Rufus when he was having issue's with Want 2 being released and said to bombarded his lable with requests. I am pretty well pleased with both albums but i think as time progresses 1 will prove to be far better than 2.

Nice taking Material Issue on the island Deep! I just bought my wife the last album they did or put out after Ellison's suicide.

Ah yeh, Telecommunicano... uh, something.
Yeh there's some tight stuff on there, like "What if I killed your boyfriend" and "Carosell" or however it's spelled. Right on. Too bad dude ain't with us anymore ..

We have been listening to it in the car this last week or so. You were pretty close on the name of the album. At points in times on that album i hear some White Stripes on it.(the sound i mean) I don't know.....might be imagining something.
I am waiting for one other thing from them in the mail The soundtrack to Freakcity or something? My lady likes the tune "Kim the Waitress".

You'll love it when it comes. I was in Chicago for a few years - friends of mine from work are on the back cover of their live album. I have "International Pop Overthrow", "Freak City Soundtrack", and "Goin' Through Your Purse - Live in Chicago (2400 Trouble Makers Can't Be Wrong)".Originally Posted by LumtheMad

i still like the international pop overthrow album the best tho. yes, I can hear a little stripes in there ... can't you just see Jack screaming "VALERIE LOVES ME!!!!"

What song and how far in (what time) do you hear these? Maybe I am missing it - or maybe I am just used to it...Originally Posted by samedeepwaterasyou

Go listen to "Valerie Loves Me", the first song on "international pop overthrow. I'm not gonna tell you what time cuz I want you to listen to the whole damn song.

Dude, I've listened to it a million times and I just listened to it again. Either I don't understand what "White Stripes" are or my version of the CD doesn't have it. What does a "White Stripe" sound like? Or what do "White Stripes" look like if you rip the track to a wav file and open it in an editor like Cool Edit Pro? Maybe I have an early print that doesn't have the stripes?
Peace
um, wow. I would have thought you'd at least *heard* of The White Stripes. They're a band, from my hometown. "Fell In Love With A Girl", "Dead Leaves and The Dirty Ground" "Seven Nation Army", "Screwdriver"???

HA HA HA HA!!! NO! I thought you were talking about repeated white noise or something!!!Originally Posted by samedeepwaterasyou
I'll google the band - do you have a link to any of their stuff? What time are they from? 70's? 80's? 90's?
