    Happy 65th Muhammed Ali

The most well-known and well-loved athlete on the planet, and a fellow Louisvillian, is now officially a senior citizen. I can remember when he won the championship belt for the third time, and how my town rejoiced. Most cities have a Martin Luther King, Jr. Street; Louisville has Muhammed Ali Boulevard.
"What, Wheeljak? You fell in that open manhole?
    How is that possible?
I posted 'CAUTION: OPEN MANHOLE' on my Facebook page!"

They're all boulevards. For some stupid ass reason every time they name a street after a famous black person they call it a boulevard. I think it's so white people can go to any city in America, open up a map, and instantly know where they put the black people.
    Alright
Tap the lightpole and we'll be jammin all night
And ain't nobody callin' the cops
'Cause everybody's here freakin', if they're older they're doin the rock
And every block from all around
Comes runnin' to the park when they hear the sound
And soon the word's spreadin' through our part of town
    "Yo, 40 Park y'all, Jam-On's gettin down"
    Yeah...

Boulevards are traditionally longer and classier than streets, right? It could be worse, they could have made them all Courts, or worse yet, Alleys or Ways. Attrell Cordes Alley?

Of course - how else would we be able to figure out where to get drugs and hookers when visiting a city?
    Peace

You could always follow the "parade" of hip-hop-boomin'-on-the-car-steroes suburban white kids heading to those streets for the very same.
    I love the summer months!
