Tap the lightpole and we'll be jammin all night
And ain't nobody callin' the cops
'Cause everybody's here freakin', if they're older they're doin the rock
And every block from all around
Comes runnin' to the park when they hear the sound
And soon the word's spreadin' through our part of town
"Yo, 40 Park y'all, Jam-On's gettin down"

Just wondering what everyones favorite PM Dawn love song is? Or any Love song for that matter. What do you guys think makes a good love song?To my mind, a good love song makes me yearn for my beloved when I hear it, no matter how long we've been together. It's a body-mind-soul reaction that almost transcends the specific person I'm thinking of and goes straight to the joy of being that close to another human being, being that vulnerable with them.
- Left Behind by VNV Nation
Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush
Light Up My Room by Barenaked Ladies
Everything But You by Wendy and Lisa
Fumbling Towards Ecstacy by Sarah McLaughlan
Kiss From a Rose by Seal
Message to My Girl Split Enz
Mad About You by Sting
Wicked Game by Chris Issac
The Sky is Broken by Moby
Just the Two of Us by Bill Withers and Grover Washington Jr.
Dinner with Gershwin (cover) by Donna Summer
I have to admit, though, I agree with whoever it was who asked if P.M. Dawn actually writes love songs. They'll analyze the heck out of a relationship, usually as it's failing or after the fact -- if I understand the lyrics correctly, but actually celebrate one when it's going well? If anything, P.M. Dawn's music seems to be more praise to "The Christ Consciousness," The Devine or experiences that seem universal than to any one single person, and thus don't fall into what I'd usually consider a conventional love song.
That said, among my favorite P.M. Dawn songs are:
- Sill Runnin'
Norwegian Wood (cover)
Reality Used to Be a Friend of Mine
The 9:45 Wake-up Dream
Hale-Bopp Regurgitations
Art Deco Halo
Music for Carnivores
Being So Not For You (I Had No Right)
Downtown Venus
Fantasia's Confidential Ghetto
If You Never Say Goodbye
"Uncertain emotions force an ... uncertain smile." - The The

I've got amnesia.. I can't remember..
No doubt. Every once in a while I'll be humbled to realize that I haven't been paying attention to one of the ballads, and realize that yet again he's speaking of something that transcends the love of just one person.be once said to me all the ballads are about god
