i luv me sum garfield..but that looks horrible..they shoulda done a cartoon movie instead...

Have to agree. Love me the comic but this looks like a mighty large bag of crap. Only some great writing could save this.....
I do not suppose I shall be remembered for anything. But I don't think about my work in those terms. It is just as vulgar to work for the sake of posterity as to work for the sake of money.

I figure if they were going to make Garfield from animatronics they should have done the same to Odie instead of using a real dog. Not to mention they really should have gotten the guy that did the cartoon voice.
Something is neither good nor bad but thinking makes it so.
I used to love reading Garfield back when he was fat and grouchy (i.e the first couple of books). He was pure gold when he was just sitting around complaining, and occasionally making a mad dash for some lasagna. He went seriously downhill when he lost weight and started walking around on his hind legs. Admittedly, I did enjoy seeing him torture Odie at every opportunity.
Anyone else know what I'm talking about?
I shudder to think of what the movie will be like. I will probably wind up seeing it anyway though. Who knows... it could be good... :dunno:
I know what you mean. He was very much more cat-like in the first few books. Still even with him walking around and being more "human" i found them funny. I miss Lyman. (jon's best friend) Lyman come home!!!
