An mp3 player, which my hubby gave to his mom
    An engraved wooden pen
2 bottles of perfume, one of which (Britney Spears) I bought myself
A 120gb Zune, which I also bought for myself
    A crazy crazy party
Free maitre'd services at said party
Free hosting and clean-up services at said party
    A $50 Lego re-up of bricks by-the-piece, which I bought myself
    Cold, hard cash
    Perfumed lotion and soap stuffs
My mom didn't get me shit

I like the stuff, especially the services given to me at my party.
What I LOVE is spending time with my husband, watching countless Independent films, both directly from the netflix sight as well as the on dvds that come in the mail.

And I LOVE having my kid at home most of the time, rather than out on the streets all the time.

I LOVE being able to see my friends' and family members' pics on Facebook and Myspace.

I LOVE that my car just got all new belts and is in great running condition. (Another gift to myself) I also greatly appreciate the honest mechanics I found, esp. after almost being ripped-off by those fucks at the Honda dealership service dept. (I saved $1600 in rip-off charges...unbelievable)

    I feel grateful

Sounds like you had a live Christmas, Wendy.

    This is what I got:

    - A 3-coin mini jackpot of $250, which I gave back with more of my own money to the casino. (I'm still pissed about it and it almost ruined my holiday)

    - A pair of Air Jordan XVs (which I bought for myself, after lusting over them for 6 months)

    - Calls from most of my good friends

    - Money from moms

    - Cooking duty for the family

Not like the Christmases we used to have back in the day. Oh well.
    I love the summer months!

4 Alan Dean Foster books, 1 Tom Clancy book, 1 John Grogan book (not Marley and Me - the other one), floor mats for my car and a bottle of port.

And half a dog from my missus. She got the other half from me. One day we might even put the two halves together and make a whole one.

Oh, and my mother (as a joke, luckily) gave me some cheap nasty chinese fake lego. Not one person gave me a single bit of proper lego. Lucky I bought some for myself

Wendy - you're lucky you can do pick a brick - we don't get that over here...

Yeah, being able to pick individual bricks saves so much money. They come all the way from Poland, though, so it takes weeks for them to arrive.
    Fake Legos make me cringe.

What is it about those Jordans???!!

    I LOVE LEGOS.

I didn't get much for Christmas cuz we really only had money for the kids this year.

My wife got me Book 6 of Strangers In Paradise, the final book in a ten year long series of graphic novels. Not super hero stuff, more like a soap opera with a small, brilliant cast. Terry Moore's writing blows me away.

I got a thrift store boom box from our roommate Chuck, who bought it because I need a tape deck.

    The tape deck doesn't work.

The best thing I got for Christmas was all the smiles on 4 year old's face.

    Christmas sex is awesome too.

EDIT: WHEN DID THEY RE-ENABLE CAPS LOCKS FOR PEOPLE OTHER THAN GREG?

If you had one leg being pulled by reality, and one leg being pulled by spirituality, where would that leave you, huh?

Actually...I looked around...this applies to the 30GB Zunes and is true. Something about a bug in the internal calendar on the Zune can't handle the extra day due to leap year.

Personally, I had never been too much of a fan of the Air Jordans for actual playing. I never considered them much of a playing shoe. They are a don't-I-look-good-sporting-my new-Air-Jordans-even-though-I-have-no-athletic-ability shoe. But, the VXs seem to be more of a player's shoe, plus they perfectly match my black and gold Lebron James short and tank outfit. I know it's girlie, but it looks good on me.
