happy birthday
the vibe says syxx so let it be syxx......
Happy Belated man even if I'm a day late and a dollar short.
Something is neither good nor bad but thinking makes it so.
Happy belated Louis! I meant to ask you how is the Maverick at CP? It's been a shameful year of no trips to the point for me.
I do not suppose I shall be remembered for anything. But I don't think about my work in those terms. It is just as vulgar to work for the sake of posterity as to work for the sake of money.

I have found peace so let it continue......
Just went to Knott's Berry Farm with the fam, yesterday.
Ghostrider is good but has gotten very jerky with age.
Silver Bullet was excellent, smooth and quiet.
Sierra Sidewinder was also excellent, though maybe a little too short and not enough "spin".
Pony Express was a good ride with a neat concept. My problem was loading times were too long and the ride was much too short.
Xelerator was working only occasionally durring the day and never got to ride it. Disappointing. For $13 million, the ride engineers need to be out there fixing it.
Jaguar is a long running, easy coaster with very little in the way of lines. Fun, if simple.
Didn't ride anything else due to being outnumbered by kids 2:1.
All in all, Knott's is much better presented and maintained than Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Xcelerator was riding a bit rickety when I rode it a couple years ago.
I liked Knotts though.
I love the summer months!
Xcelerator is insane. Kicks Superman's (at Magic Mountain) ass any day of the week. However, for coasters I like Magic Mountain better than Knotts or Disneyland, hands down.
I just don't end up where think I'm going when I start out.
Yes, MM is an okay park. Poor little Superman is just too old. The wear and tear has gotten to it. I'm glad I rode it in its second year.
Chris you need to check out Dragster at Cedar Point (should you ever venture to the midwest). It's much better than Xcellerator, which makes perfect sense since it was the predecessor for Dragster. Stormrunner at Hersheypark, a launch coaster with the same concept, is better too.
I love the summer months!
If I ever get out that way, I'll make sure I check with you first!
I just don't end up where think I'm going when I start out.
Yeah, the Intamin launch coasters are all problematic. Intamin rides in general haven't had too good of a run in the last couple years. They've had a hell of a time keeping Kingda Ka running at SF Great Adventure in NJ. The drop ride at SF Kentucky Kingdom that snapped a wire and cut the lady's foot off--an intamin ride. Six Flags has the worst maintenance of all the major park owners. Couple that with the horrible food they serve; it's no wonder they are losing serious loot. The best Six Flags for food I've been to is the one in Gurnee, IL.
I love the summer months!
I actually was able to get on it a few weekends ago. I dug it but i could see why you might not dig it, it is rather spinny. It reminded me a lot of the Raptor in that sense. Man, i loved the one tunnel section where it speeds up real quick. That was a neat experience!
Still haven't hit Top Thrill.....

Yeah, it's funny you mentioned that tunnel. CP had to delay the opening of the ride because the section of track after the tunnel where it passes between the two phony rocks was too intense! They had to retrack it with a smoother bend so people wouldn't get woozy. It was like a bad Rollercoaster Tycoon scenario.
I love the summer months!
