You have to understand Be chase hahaha.. dude spent $30, 000 on "in My Dreamz" off fucked music.. just paying musicians.. now that doesn't make any sense if you are putting out a record independently.. dearest christian although it only used 3 samples cost over a $100, 000 to make.. you have to pay musicians etc he needs to get in2 the indie mindset but he cant because he loves his pm dawn sheen and he still makes records like its 1992 ha..Coz nailed it just then..he's an artist not a businessman..

*whistles* Wow! 30k on a record you can't even sell. No wonder Be's all shitty about it. Wasn't there a sample on there that he couldn't clear? Isn't that the reason why it's not out there? So it would've cost him even more!

Surely Be could make one or two phone calls and find out that what he wants to do will cost him big.

C'mon Be. you're an intelligent dude. Take care in what you do! Just apply a little business to your mind and "Everything's Gonna Be Alright".

Did Doc shed any light on Be's stance on the sample thing? Have they got enuf material to put together an album without sample tracks?

Is there any point talking to Be about it, or are we

Be doesn't have a stance, Be just does Be.

    I highly doubt it.

So you're pretty sure Be hasn't got clearance for samples in these new tracks?

I never said that. I know he doesn't have clearance for the one he sent me tonight though.

    My bad...

I'm going to do a little research on Newcleus tomorrow... Don't know much about what you were/are a part of. Might understand where you're coming from better.

You do know that I produced and released Be's first record though, right?

Yeah, knew that. Gotta find out the rest. Ether pointed me in the right direction. I'm sure I will have questions/comments for you tomorrow.

    Peace.

That would be "Backstreet Boys - If You Stay"? Wondered why Doc wanted that song... Matter of fact, I think Notorious B.I.G. used that same sample in one of his Junior Mafia songs, mid 90's.

I wouldn't think the record companies would allow grandfathered samples. They're too damn money greedy. Now, if it was for a songwriting credit, that I could understand.

I thought you were supposed to get a copy at someones house like a year or more ago? Like at Coz's house when Be was coming over?
    Peace

    Maybe never happened, though.
