Ahh, not so, my friend. This is his setup from 1974, before my parents split up.
He was quite well-to-do, and wanted a state-of-the-art sound system.

Solid state sure, but I don't remember ever seeing a dual cassette recorder until the '80s. Regardless, it still ain't the '60s, which is when I was talking about. Yes you had component sets then, but they were extremely rare and expensive. My cousin in Panama had the first one I had ever seen, complete with reel to reel. He worked for the CIA.
    Alright
Tap the lightpole and we'll be jammin all night
And ain't nobody callin' the cops
'Cause everybody's here freakin', if they're older they're doin the rock
And every block from all around
Comes runnin' to the park when they hear the sound
And soon the word's spreadin' through our part of town
    "Yo, 40 Park y'all, Jam-On's gettin down"
    Yeah...
