I finally watched it and... I... actually... enjoyed... it?
    Alright
Tap the lightpole and we'll be jammin all night
And ain't nobody callin' the cops
'Cause everybody's here freakin', if they're older they're doin the rock
And every block from all around
Comes runnin' to the park when they hear the sound
And soon the word's spreadin' through our part of town
    "Yo, 40 Park y'all, Jam-On's gettin down"
    Yeah...

What can I say, I actually like the song (LOVED the original by B.J. Thomas and even liked the Blue Swede cover). The video was intentionally stupid and funny, much easier to sit through than most of the shit I see on MTV. And Hasselhoff can actually sing.

Just chalk it up to being 46 I guess. There's a whole lot of flotsam from the '90s that you guys like that I actually find hideous!

Right ... just like Baywatch was meant to be that crappy, as a joke of course.

And the movie currently in pre-production, "Knight Rider" will (I'm going out on a limb here) mean to be that crappy.

All of Hass's projects for that matter, I guess. So he's not a joke, as much as an ironic genius!

Didn't watch Baywatch, and I stopped watching Kinght Rider before it was done, but neither show was considered crappy when they were on. In fact, Knight Rider was considered pretty damm cool. I guess you thought that Battlestar Galactica was crappy too.

This video is definitely trying to be funny. Whether it succeeds or not is a matter of taste. Personally, I didn't find it very funny, except for the fish head dude, but it did keep my attention by getting me to wait for what they were gonna show next. Today's songs and videos often have me diving for the remote.

BTW, we do realize that this thing is like 7 years old, right?

Well, I totally agree about today's music videos. They're all the same -- a party. That's it. What happened to the reign of conceptualized videos that was happening in the late 90's? REM's "Losing my Religion"; Madonna had a few beautiful ones; Guns n' roses told an entire story...I feel the list goes on and on. Now, every video looks exactly the same, and none of them are worth watching.

Or maybe I'm getting old, and this is a "back in my day post"...

That's why I didn't mention the original Knight Rider ... just the movie in production. But Baywatch ... c'mon -- that was crappy even BEFORE it came out. It's only saving grace was the ladies.

What can I say, I'm part Florida hick. "awful" I am sure it is a common mistake that drives teachers nuts. It's a good thing I don't write for a living, at least it sounds right when I speak it.

    Wow.

I want to kill things now. A lot. Yet still...in some weird way i am also hooked on a feeling. I just wish i had that green screen magic David Knight....her Hasselhof has.

This is why you keep Wino's away from the wine. It's also why you keep rhino's away from poachers.
I do not suppose I shall be remembered for anything. But I don't think about my work in those terms. It is just as vulgar to work for the sake of posterity as to work for the sake of money.
