Well, my wife's water broke at like 1:20 yesterday morning. Why have all my kids decided to start comming into this world in the middle of the night?
Anyways, even though Julia's water broke at 1:20 in the morning, when we go to the hospital at 3:00 or so, there was nothing really going on. But at least this time they couldn't send us home (unlike the last three). I don't really know which is worse, nothing happening or being sent home, but I'm going to go with being sent home. We tried to sleep (though I got much more out of it than Juila, the nurses kept coming to check her).
At about 8:00 or so there was still no real change in what was going on, and no contractions to force it to change. At this point they put my wife on pitosin (a drug which causes contractions to occur for those unfamiliar with it). So that started at about 8:30, and at 9:00 or so Julia was having regular contractions. Then, at 12:02 pm yesterday afternoon, Brandon Blain joined us as the sixth member of the Harmon Family. He was 8 lbs 11 oz and 20 3/4 inches long. So far he has the quietest cry of all our children, lets hope that doesn't change much in the near future (his youngest brother was really *really* *REALLY* loud).
And so, on to the pictures. I swear I had one of Julia and Brandon together, but I must have taken that with the video camera instead. I have some of just Julia, but she's not looking her greatest after being up all night and working really hard at giving birth, so you're stuck with pictures of a really cute baby. I'm sure you're disappointed. Jessica and Dallen each wanted to hold the baby (their pictures are below as well)...
And so, without further ado, here's Brandon:
