I'm just wondering, why some songs that get sampled, get credited in the liner notes and some don't. On The Utopian Experience there are quite a few samples credited, but some that are not. Examples that brought me to this question:

"Comatose" -- gilded spilinters and thankful & thoughtful were credited but atomic dog was not.

"If I was U" -- no credit for the kraftwerk sample (Pocket Calculator)

I'm just curious how it actually all works, maybe Coz could shed some light? It's not like the samples I mentioned are hard to catch ... although it took me years to notice the cindy c loop in "watchers point of view" (brilliant by the way)

    ???

Well...the way it...er...works is that you "should" clear and credit EVERY sample that you use...but you end up clearing and crediting every sample that you cannot get away with not clearing and crediting.

    heheheheh

That being said, just make sure you clear and credit MY SHIT and everything will be just fine!

    EZ
    Coz

ps- We didn't clear or credit SHIT for "Ode", though Be tells me that they did later after the album came out...no skin off my nose...heheh
    Alright
Tap the lightpole and we'll be jammin all night
And ain't nobody callin' the cops
'Cause everybody's here freakin', if they're older they're doin the rock
And every block from all around
Comes runnin' to the park when they hear the sound
And soon the word's spreadin' through our part of town
    "Yo, 40 Park y'all, Jam-On's gettin down"
    Yeah...
