Where would you go? what would you do?
Where would you go? what would you do?
Keep your headphones on.
id go back in time to the day before it was created and kill the guy who made it... or would that be a paradox?? i gotta go watch more of that new doctor who!

great question.
I would go hang out with Kerouac on one of his trips(50's), go hang out with some neanderthals, kick it with some aztecs, hit the building of the pyramids, hang out with jesus for a few years, hit up Kant in the 1800's(I heard he is was a really good pool player and a real ladies man), go back and catch MJ on one of his many magical nights. Get an overall real good perspective on human evolution and life-styles.
fullamyself, sickamyself, truetamyself
I will always be myself - through the good times and the bad.
I really, really hope you're talking about Michael Jordan...Originally Posted by justafan

That's good, 'cuz I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to see one of those "magical nights" at Neverland ranch!
Yeah, he was acquitted, but still...

I would go back to the day I asked for "The CD" and never do it.
Then I wouldn't feel like a Masher.
A man is where he loves, not where he lives....
I'd have to meet Malcom X, King Tut, Jesus, and Martin Luther King (and not necessarily in that order).
I love the summer months!
i would go back to the days of the egyptians, and hang out with them, and then i would go back to when i was little, and re-live a couple of times with family, that i feel like i missed out on.
i don't know guys. time is bigger than me, and i don't want to really change anything because, well, where would i start? where would i begin?
i like being here now.
id go and intercept KRS one ....

You could still go to the future. You can't affect the continuum, as long as you confine your trips to the future.Originally Posted by xtristessax

I tried using a time travel device once, but I didn't get anywhere. Instead, I just ended up with a sore crotch.

sore crotch, huh? that don't sound like time travel to me, however, it does sound like a good time!
and who wants to know the future? not me!

I typed a bunch of stuff then I decided to believe history is an illusion. At least tonight that is where the question took me.
But your saying it's not.... so HYPOTHETICALLY: Where I am sitting now 100 years before I was born.
That is possible, but what if the future that you see is already a direct result of your visit to the future, and the knowledge that you brought back after your trip, which relative to the future, is still the past?Originally Posted by ETHERSPIN
Also, imagine if your trip to the future is a one-way trip. The future that you would see is a world where you disappeared; you're seeing how the world unfolded in your absence, like Jimmy Stewart in "It's a Wonderful Life"!
I tried to write a story once where I imagined a device that sent me into the distant past, but although I was able to see and hear things, I was not "really" there; I could not interact with my surroundings. I never fleshed out the story, but I think my explanation was that it was God preventing me from tampering with the timeline. Like my parents used to tell me, "You can look, but don't touch!"
