    Weekend?

What are you doing this weekend? You got any plans?

as for my answer, not too much. well, i take that back...Saturday night I am going to see my friend TiKara in a Greek step show competition. I think she is in AKA.

tomorrow, i might go out to the Blue Ridge Parkway (which is about 10 minutes from Boone) and enjoy the sunshine (not to mention the gorgeous views!). i might play some tennis saturday morning if the weather is good. sunday i have to type a paper for my Germany 1918-Present history class, about Hitler's interests in Art and the artists that were classified as degenerate by the Third Reich.

We'll be puttering around the house and yard. Nothing exciting, but if you're with the peeps you love, it IS exciting.
    Congrats Coz 'n the wifey.

I am painting and refinishing my bathroom, yes it is more exciting than it sounds, I think.

grab a partner, paint the bathroom together, then clean up in the shower=excitement
    no thinking required

    Congratuations, Coz!

On Friday, I started writing a poem. I'm not good at paying attention to when I start composing poetry in my head -- as a child, I never learned how to transfer composing outloud to composing on paper (I was simply ordered to stop it by my dad, for fear of being considered crazy). So now, I just have it down as random thoughts, and am still learning to jolt myself into writting as much of it down as I can. I think I get about 10% of it at present, but I stayed with the current poem. It was kinda funny. I started writing it on the bus, and would pause on the rainy streets in Pioneer Square to write more in my journal as it came to me. This isn't the best part of town, and my journal was getting wet, but I kept writing. I probably would have wrote more had someone who recognized me not hailed me to come into a pub and visit for a while. However, I'd conveniently reached a pausing point and can call it finished without too much heartache. I posted it in Musings yesterday.

Yesterday I went clothes shopping with a pregnant friend who's been having trouble finding stuff that fits her shape. Turns out, I was a good-luck charm: I kept finding bras and tops that worked out for her in colors she liked. We had lunch and then she dropped me off at home. I made it to the local art-supply store in just enough time to find some nice paper for writting letters with my fountain pen (stationery stores provider more envelopes than I really want).

Today will involve some serious housecleaning. I ended up making myself sick by deciding I could salvage some water-damaged comic books. Nope: spoors all over the place. I feel like crap, but I've got to clean this place out. However, within all that I'm meeting someone for coffee, posting some reviews and reading the latest Merry Gentry novel.
