Be, if you're taking requests for Tuesday ...

I'm sure you have onegalacticsetlist already in store for the few of us in this forum who can make it (WOO-HOO), but if at all possible ... and if you feel so inspired, could you slip my #1 favorite song of all time, my inspiration to life and songwriting, my if-you-were-stranded-on-an-island pick, and one the most underrated songs OF all time in for a wino in the crowd?:

    Apathy ... Superstar?

Beat that depression, suckafoo, because you are truly a unique, badass, talented mofo ...

    Incredible

. . . but short. Unless I was drinking something more powerful than wine, they played threee songs -- Patient Eyes, Die Without You, and Set Adrift. Oh, and a short-snippet tribute to Spandau Ballet, the one and only master Coz, and the owner of the bar. Coz and his wife got us next to the stage (us = Coz/wife, Harmeister/wife, me/wine). When they came on, honestly ... and I know it sounds cheesy, but a wave of love passed through me. I wanted to get all my friends together, form a group hug, and cry. I was patting everyone on the back and smiling like an idiot ... oh, and downing some wine. I missed my wife who was with our 15 month old in the hotel. I wanted to write about peace and harmony and dance, all at the same time. Like Be said as he pounded his heart, I "felt it right here."

I think Be was having a little difficulty because of his eye surgery (I could be wrong), but he looked a little off-balance. But his voice was RIGHT ON -- and so were the backing vocals, thanks to J. Some funny words in between, a short set, and then he was off to make way for Kevin Bacon and his brother. I followed him down the stairs to give him a big, manly, bear hug. Be, do what you can to get past that depression, sucka-fool, because you are truly a creative genius with those lyrics, a talented singer with them pipes, and a rhythmic mastermind with those joints!!! Oh, and not to mention a 24-29 yr old, white, cute chick magnet? It's like he is a big teddy bear, and they all want to give him a hug, a kiss on the cheek, and talk about their senior prom? I was truly inspired -- oh and envious that someone was was supposedly "low on hair" was able to sport such a do. If only whitey-McWino here could do that, my pate problems would be solved.

As I traveled from New York to my next destination (Kentucky), I reflected at 30,000 feet on all of your songs as they ran through my IPod -- son of a fuck, you can write, boy!!! I didn't take my mega-camera, but snapped a few good shots with my el-cheapo digital, and also managed to get a couple of video clips which I'll post shortly. Sorry for the delay, but I'm finally back in town, on my couch, and working ...

Be, if you read this, thanks a shitload for playing -- and for a good cause. It was nice to meet you and experience your vibe first-hand. Coz, Harm, and wives ... good to see ya'll again, too -- look forward to our next get-together ... and to the next PM Dawn show!

i also went to this show. Be was right on with his rendition of Spandau Ballet's "True," and i also enjoyed the tribute to Marcus with "Pop Musik." Anyway, I thought I would add to the love with some pics of my own... Much love to Coz who was beyond nice (and got me into VIP to meet Be, which was totally awesome). It was so nice to meet all of you!

Last but not least, coz and his wife and me with my wife before dinner.

That was a really really good dinner, I should have taken a picture of it too. Want some more beef coz? Honestly I could have eaten more, but I didn't want to look like a glutton (besides the fact that I really *shouldn't* eat more, as evidenced my my not-so-small mid-section)

there we go, just right. keep walking...
