    Rest In Peace Ossie Davis!!!

He has been one of my heroes since when I first knew what a hero was. Heaven is better off, and we are now sorely lacking.

    Alright
Tap the lightpole and we'll be jammin all night
And ain't nobody callin' the cops
'Cause everybody's here freakin', if they're older they're doin the rock
And every block from all around
Comes runnin' to the park when they hear the sound
And soon the word's spreadin' through our part of town
    "Yo, 40 Park y'all, Jam-On's gettin down"
    Yeah...

Oh, I knew who he was just not his name. I was just reading up on him and he was a great man, he will be missed.

I am also going to see some movies that he was in, suggested here(with check marks under entire filmography). http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=2:86915~C

    A TRUE Icon

Here, here Coz; Davis was one of a kind in many ways. You got that straight; heaven has brought him home. Peace to his family.

Gracing us all as a true humanitarian and artist, his numerous achievements epitomized an ethical code and integrity. All of us can learn from his example. BIO

In honor of what he gave to the world:
    IMDb faq on Ossie Davis
Writer, actor, director, activist and more, Mr. Davis was currently working on two projects mentioned there. As you can see from the faq sheet, his contributions were immense. Documentaries like the Real Malcolm X shine a light on the not-so-distant history that none of us should forget. What he gave to his work is profound.
bio of Davis and his wife Ruby Dee &
listen to an interview with Ossie and Ruby, married for over half a century, here
In addition, Mr. Davis and his wife were instrumental in New York Theatre expansion and starred in Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun. *this is a must see play.

We care Coz and feel the loss too.

It saddens me to not hear more in the news about one of our countries most prolific role models.
I guess it's up to us to help the kids remember and appreciate what men and women like Ossie Davis have done for our country and consciousness.

In his life, Mr. Ossie Davis set the bar for living life to its fullest. A true Icon and revolutionary loving spirit.

    *head bowed down
The Father's letter is for you. His ways are higher than ours. It takes time to grow a seed and bear good fruit. Rebuke the devourer. The battle is the Lord's and He will be victorious.

If that makes me crazy then that's okay.
Reverence for the Father and his instructions outweighs all else.
In all directions, love one another give us grace for agreement with Your will.
    Leaving all else behind us.
I love you God; show me the real truth not idols.
Pleading the blood on life and the world all over.
    so be it.

Don't let them change you inside, cause anyone who matters will try to understand who you are.

When you always stay in self-incarceration...I think it's such a shame.

I made a pilgrimage to save this human race, never comprehending the race was long gone by.

    fitting tribute

from an eclectic group on par with the man and his life!
    To ponder:
    tribute to Mr. Davis links
    &
BBC In honor of Mr. Davis
What really got me was Ruby's hand over her heart.
    ~bless you~
