Is anyone here an avid player or an avid TV watcher of it? I am, in both respects, I am not bad in my own respects, but I was a standout in math if nothing else throghout my life(I am really good with the numbers and percentages of hands versus the flop, turn and the river).

I am going to join the pi-100 club soon. That is memorizing pi to 100-digits. But it's not really a task to me, more of a hobby and a really dorky hobby at that too. I have it to 50 decimal places easily, but am waiting for the desire to try to memorize to 100(haven't tried yet, but wont be that hard). About 800-1000 people have done it in history(or proved they did).

Anyways I love pi, always have and I LOVE TEXAS HOLD'EM. I love pool too, anything that I can gamble or impress people with.

I like Texas Hold 'Em, just a little too much of a luck factor. When we gamble me and Yvette like to play Let It Ride.
    Alright
Tap the lightpole and we'll be jammin all night
And ain't nobody callin' the cops
'Cause everybody's here freakin', if they're older they're doin the rock
And every block from all around
Comes runnin' to the park when they hear the sound
And soon the word's spreadin' through our part of town
    "Yo, 40 Park y'all, Jam-On's gettin down"
    Yeah...

I have basically memorized Rounders the movie, and "like Doyle Brunson would say, texas hold'em is the only pure game left."

Hold'em to me, is the most advanced mathematicians game of choice(because you each hold 71.4285714% of each others hand at the end....) It's all about balls and solid strategy.... which is hard to come by.

For the faint of heart throw in a 7/22.......... this is a brutal ploy against a pi Aficionado.

My dad told me about a tournament with some of his co-workers that is December 3rd. The buy-in is 50 bucks, hopefully there are 40 people or so, that would make the winners share about $1,000 and anouther 1,000 to split of for 2nd to 6th or whatever they choose.

I am really excited just thinking about it... and trust me the money is already spent in my mind...*fingers crossed for good cards*
