I just wanted to put that out there right now while it's in my head as I may not have a moment to do so this weekend.

Hope all the daddies have a great one. :wavey:

This Father's Day will go like this:

My children will wake me too early
They will crawl into my bed and immediately begin fighting with each other.
They will beg me for breakfast making me get up to do so.
My children will ask for donuts and whine and cry when I tell them that donuts are not healthy for them
One will inevitably spill milk or food on the floor
One of them will punch one the others
While I am trying to read the newspaper, they will ask me questions, all at the same time
They will leave their toys on the floor
They will leave their clothes on the floor, on their toys
They will ask me to find their toys
They will ask for a snack right before dinner.
One of them will push one of the others
They will cry that they are hungry, then not eat their dinner.
Then they will ask for desert.
My children will not get ready for bed on time
They will jump on the bed and blame each other for starting it.
They will fight over who gets the story read to them in which bed.
One of them will kick one of the others.

Mine will be the first face they see in the morning and the last they see at night.

After cleaning up the milk and food and toys and clothes and shoes and dishes and sticks and rocks and paper airplanes and crayons littering our house, I will call my father, and wish him a Happy Fathers Day. I will then hope that I gave my father the same amount of joy as my kids have given me. Then, before drifting off to sleep, I will thank the good Lord for the blessing of my children…and such a wonderful day.

    HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!! :wavey:
Don't let them change you inside, cause anyone who matters will try to understand who you are.

When you always stay in self-incarceration...I think it's such a shame.

I made a pilgrimage to save this human race, never comprehending the race was long gone by.

Happy Father's Day to all of you fine (as in distinguished) gentlemen on the board!!! One thing that I love is seeing a father, (or mother on Mother's Day) being shown love and appreciation for his hard work throughout the years.

I grew up without a father, and the one and ONLY year that I sent my real father a father's day card, ( I was 18 or 19), it was written so beautifully, and from my heart. All I was asking for, was the opportunity to know him. I took the initiative to reach out to him, because its painful and sad growing up without a father...yet, my father still denied me as his child.

How could a father "deny" his child? How could a father sit back, and allow his daughter or son to go through life without teaching her some of life's most important instructions and guidance that's necessary to ensure his child will challenge the world, full of knowledge in their adult years? I've always dreamed of what it was like to have a father, and to this very day...I have absolutely no clue...

I admire and look up to those of you, who God has blessed with offsprings of your own,...that will make you PROUD of being honoured by this day...if only I could be as fortunate to say to my father...

    Happy Father's Day... I love u guys!

    peace,

and to Chief...as your children grow into fine adults, and reflect back on these days with you as they bear children of their own...

It's these "little" things in which they will remember,...that matters the most...

Happy Fathers Day to all them fathers out there!

    :bowlaugh: :bowlaugh:

And for the record, with the exception of the crawling into bed part (we've made that a rule since day one they could crawl, no kids in the parent's bed), mine act nearly identical to Cheif's.

    No, seriously, they do.

Down to the spilling milk, the fighting, and the aguing about the story.

there we go, just right. keep walking...

Chief that was absolutely beautiful dude, really.

I spent the weekend with my father and I've got to tell ya, the whole concept still seems weird to me. It has really put me in a strange place mentally. But for the sake of agreement I will match the sentiment of the thread and say "Happy Father's Day!"

    I love the summer months!
