Kid 'N' Play.....need i say more.....damn i used to love them dancin fools :fawkdance:
what ever happened to kid n play? [/b][/quote]
Kid is doing "Showtime At The Apollo". Last time I talked to him he had decided not to even bother rapping anymore and to do stand-up comedy instead. I have no idea about Play...I heard he was trying to do movies.

I'm the kinda guy who likes all kinda music and don't care who knows it. I'd blast hootenanny songs out my car while driving through the ghetto!

I agree with ya Be...if they're embarassed by New Edition, I know if they have any of my records they must hide them under the bed!
    Alright
Tap the lightpole and we'll be jammin all night
And ain't nobody callin' the cops
'Cause everybody's here freakin', if they're older they're doin the rock
And every block from all around
Comes runnin' to the park when they hear the sound
And soon the word's spreadin' through our part of town
    "Yo, 40 Park y'all, Jam-On's gettin down"
    Yeah...

well what about SEAL...We all know that first album is a classic...front to back....but the rest of those stinkers make me embarrassed to even bring his ass up anymore....
Hahah, dude, that's exactly how I feel about Seal. I just finished playing his first album for my girlfriend yesterday... then I had to explain that she shouldn't really bother with the other ones.

Embarassing artists... how about El DeBarge? I loved "Rhythm of the Night" when I was a kid... but then something changed and I hid the tape away somewhere. I don't think I've listened to it since.

Or... I'm not embarassed about this, but people always look at me strangely when they are going through my CD's and find the stack of every CD that "Weird Al" Yankovic has ever released, including the box set. Luckily they don't usually browse my video tape collection, where they would find every one of Al's major TV appearances, including every episode of the "Weird Al Show". :tinker:

    I like Seal's 2nd album...almost as much as the 1st. :dunno:

    Dag, ya'll!

I don't think any of the songs posted are things to be embarassed about (except maybe for Syxx, every Vanilla Ice album? And WWF themes? Really??) A lot of them sound cheesy as hell now, but they were the shit when they came out.

    And Foxy

"I'm sorry but I'm just thinking of the right words to say
I know they don't sound the way I planned them to be
But iiiif you wait around awhile, I'll maaaake you come to me
I promise you, I promise you I will"

    That's the shiz!

And whoever mentioned OMD, those guys had a string of hits that blew the roof of in an 80s way.

And just last Thursday my brother took me to see Howard Jones at the Coach House.
I just don't end up where think I'm going when I start out.

That's "The Promise" by When in Rome. It's a total 80s song made completely with synthesizers and it just totally s

Don't let them change you inside, cause anyone who matters will try to understand who you are.

When you always stay in self-incarceration...I think it's such a shame.

I made a pilgrimage to save this human race, never comprehending the race was long gone by.

Let's go back to the early 80's with a secret favorite of mine (it had to be a secret because I was only like 8 years old...so they were no no).

    Vanity 6 "Nasty Girl"
"Tonight living in a fantasy...our own little nasty world.
Tonight don't you wanna come with me, do you think I'm a nasty girl..."

    And then Vanity's "Pretty Mess"
"...He makes such a pretty mess on my dress...Ooooh!
    Such a pretty mess."

And I know we all loved the Spice Girls:
"Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want.
So tell me what you want, what you really, really want...
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really, really, really
    wanna zigazig ahhh!!"

    Ok, there...I said it.

There is no reason for this madness.
