    If y'all have never been to a block party, well you've been seriously deprived. If you have but have never been to a BROOKLYN BLOCKPARTY then you have been sadly mislead!

    THIS IS IT BABY!!!

    The whole block is closed down for the entire day! We'll be setting up the full set (the same one we used to rock the parks with) and jamming from about 1 'till about 11pm (sometimes as late as midnite). We'll have turntables (4 OF 'EM!) and CDs goin! Hey, I'll try to convince Be and Jarret to bring some vinyl and guest DJ...we'll even bring out some mikes, the right mix of alcohol and good music and there's no telling what might happen! :rofl: Of course I'll drag the grill out to the front, so there'll be plenty of the 4 Bs...BBQ, beef, booze and beer! :yum: There's dancing in the street, and all sorts of other bedlam!

    Sure wish me and Ty could make it coz....sounds like a blast

    From Seattle to LaGuardia, leaving Aug 6th on Frontier Airlines, would cost $297 a person round trip at its cheapest; or you can choose the most expensive tickets which are $2542 a person roundtrip on Continental...

    Either way, that's more money than i have to spend :cry:

    I'll keep hope alive! These ducks don't want to stand in a row but damnit i'ma gonna try! Pay attention Ducks! This is for a damn Brooklyn Block Party!

    I burnt a lot of my vacation time(with the wedding and honeymoon) but i'll see what i can do.
    I do not suppose I shall be remembered for anything. But I don't think about my work in those terms. It is just as vulgar to work for the sake of posterity as to work for the sake of money.

    OK...the blockparty is confirmed as definite...the block president has the permits already! We are also looking at throwing a party at a very dope neighborhood club the night before (Fri. August 6th) as well, complete with performances. Should be 1 hell of a weekend!

    wow. sounds kick-ass. Have a great time, y'all. I'll have JUST gotten back from a two-week road trip through my old stomping grounds in the Pacific Northwest, so the fundage will be too short to come, otherwise I would be there (ask Harmeister... If I will drive from Detroit to D.C. to play video games with a room full of strangers, i'm crazy enough to drive to NYC and go tot a block party! )

    OK...here's the latest. Nothing definite on the club party on the 6th yet. Midway through the blockparty on the 7th, we'll be turning over the DJ duties to Matt and heading up to the Bronx to do a 5PM show on the South Bronx RiverStage. Right after the show we head right back to Brooklyn...should be back by 6:30-7:00...and party-out the rest of the night! Should be tons of fun!

    All of you who come will get into the show free also...unless you just wanna stay on the block and chill.

    OK...the gig at Bronx Riverstage has been cancelled. As a matter of fact, every gig that we had on the calendar so far this year has been cancelled. Blockparty is still a definite though.
