I've been a devout athiest for the last 12 years or so. My moral guidance comes from various sources...

I was brought up as a catholic and thats the closest possible description for what i am now .. i believe that the truth is manifest in many religions and ideals but for me this is the most accurate of them
"One day the absurdity of the almost universal human belief in the slavery of other animals will be palpable. We shall then have discovered our souls and become worthier of sharing this planet with them."

I am a follower of Christ and a worshiper of God...everything else is gravy!

I too, was also born and raised a Catholic, but being a Catholic is more like your heritage than your religion...sort of like being a Jew.
    Alright
Tap the lightpole and we'll be jammin all night
And ain't nobody callin' the cops
'Cause everybody's here freakin', if they're older they're doin the rock

I third that motion... I do not follow any religious leaders or gangs!!! There is one GOD and Jesus came and changed the world the rest to me is for death to reveal.... I think most of us are born with a sense of right and wrong I try to be right unless my selfish pleasures get in the way...even then I try! Karma can be a mean, ugly, & scary witch!! Feel me?!

athiest.....bordering on spiritualist......i dont believe so much in any particular religion though i do believe there is something to be learned from them morally ...more or less all of the lines in the books are like jokes but its the PUNCHLINES!..that you need to remember and ingrain into your mind......"that you learn from".no im not saying all the books are jokes for those who are misenterpreting im saying that the lines themselves are fairly meaningless without being coupled together(and exagerative)"ie moses"..its the over all meanings that you extract from these lines../..

I follow Hiero's religion on not following any religion. I was raised a Hiero-ologist and have spread the lack of word any time doesn't present itself.
I do not suppose I shall be remembered for anything. But I don't think about my work in those terms. It is just as vulgar to work for the sake of posterity as to work for the sake of money.

Me, I am a Christian. I wasn't practicing any religion for a while,
then I heard of this Bah'ai faith thing and I gave that a shot....
(Nailed 10 of them suckers before the rest got to the door... :lolbonk: )
    Joking.
But anyhow, I recently became affianced and my new wife to be re-introduced me to Christ. I decided to study with her and POW!!!! I started to feel it. She then told me that she wants our relationship to be "Right in the eyes of god" I agreed :stupid: and Biff!! I ain't gettin any anymore !
I don't feel like I would have a few years ago though.....
I think it's actually the best thing.

Who knows which way God is looking? I sure as hell don't.

(on the waiting to have sex before marriage)I think its all a bunch of hogwash BUT if it helps build a wonderful lasting relationship where love reigns then go for it. I've been married twice and based on certain religions i'ma bad bad man. Simply put i am just a man and all men be they great or small are capable of error.

I'm on the same level as Syxx. Spirituality is what griddles my pancakes.

    Well hiero,
I can make up my own mind. :tinker: There was no pressure to study with her, I was just asking questions(she knows ALOT more than I do... :stupid: )
and Bam!!! I had this feeling. I had been "without" that feeling for so long I had forgotten exactly how good it felt.
So I studied more and she liked it. I had been running from religion in general for quite a long time.
I can go from pornstar to Right in the eyes of GOD by confessing my sins and asking for forgiveness and NEVER EVER going back to that life.
(Remember Hiero, I gave that up for my son not for religion. )
I not my fiance decided that I was once again christian. She was just the instrument of it.
My "Flashlight through the dark" as some might say....
NOONE IS PERFECT. I sure ain't close but I still wanna get to heaven!
(Not the one in my fiances thong either....)

    Yes, it is interesting.
I never thought I would end up where I am.
(A child, about to get Married and finding religion)
I don't want anyone to change, I just wanted to get a little more of
an Idea of whom everyone is, and why.
We are all different and that makes it fun :blahblah:
if we were all the same we would all be friends, and then who would we
ban? ( Me, for that corny crap.)

p.s. How does one go about getting a legal name change for the forum?

Hey I'm a little late, but desperately trying to play catch up. I'm a Christian myself. I'm a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. I don't try to impose my beliefs on anyone and I don't judge people for choosing to believe something different or not believe anything at all.
Don't let them change you inside, cause anyone who matters will try to understand who you are.

When you always stay in self-incarceration...I think it's such a shame.

I made a pilgrimage to save this human race, never comprehending the race was long gone by.
