ok ladies & gentleman I about to vent a valid complaint i'm sure some of you might have had at one time or another.

I met up with some friends a few hrs ago & we decieded to go Clubbing. I am one who LOVES to club. I am far from being the skinnest in the world, but damn straight if I dont know how to move what I've got (i'm seriously not being cocky but it is how it is...)

Anyway...we're out, having a good time. Now mind you know I know everyone goes to a club for different reasons.

You have those wanting to meet someone, ligitimatly. Those trying to hook up. Those there to have fun. And those who were dragged along, etc u get my point.

Well we always go with having fun, its not about meeting someone at a club. Its just not our style. We are there to dance, have fun, and go home.

Anyway....the drama that is my d@mn life....

We're out on the floor having a ball. We're not worried about who's watching us, around us, whatever.

Its standard to brush off the occasional guy trying to get up in your business. Lol, before long your dancing up next to your girlfriend to keep some creep from getting in between the two of you.

Well we have a guy friend with us who is sorta playin' our crowd control while doing his own thing. We don't mind dancing with people, having a good time, but well......some guys know No boundaries.

This guy had been on the floor most of the night, making his way thru the crowd. He kept coming over to us, asking each of us to come get a drink with him, etc. We'd smile...offer a polite no thanks and continue to dance. Typical club scum, lol.

We had worked up quite a sweat and stopped to get a drink. We were standing a few feet from the dance floor talking to one of my girlfriends when ( I swear the stuff doesn't freaking happen to anyone else)......................

This guy comes up behind me,( those who have met me or even if you haven't, I'm short...lol...5 foot. I by no means have a ghetto booty but well...i have enough) and lays his hands RIGHT up on my ass and literally pushes me to the dance floor. I was like scooted by pure force. I'm looking around like what the f**k is going on. I stumble a step ahead and turn around. I'm like WHAT are you doing???
In the meantime my girl is grabbing our guy friend and trying to come get me. Its crowded so its not like we have open walkways. I take a step back and he's like Come on honey, lets dance. I'm looking at him like he is a piece of dirt at this point. I mutter a no thanks, keep your hands off me, and try to walk over to my friend.

The SOB has the nerve to side step me and try again...oh come on, i've seen you dance, I know you wanna get it on. Lol I seriously stop to look around like this guy can't POSSIBLY be serious, laughing. He grabs my arm and trys to turn me around. I am by no means strong, lol far from it, but i've been taught a few good police moves. thank GOD!! :bash:

For once my height came in handy. Sorry guys...but I racked the hell out of him, perfect level, and fortunatly my huge ring I had put on sealed the deal. I simply side stepped him doubleing over and walked away as I let the bouncer step in. Needless to say we left after only being there for like an hour.

THIS is the kind of stuff I don't like going clubbing anymore. You can't even go & just dance & have an good time anymore. I guess just a reminder why I hadn't gotten in a long time. Plus it scares the hell out of me....If it hadn't worked out in my favor I can't even imagine what I would have done, i'd be helpless. I wouldn't have known how to get out of it.

I swear I've got some kind of wierd vibe following me around........

I couldn't write stranger fiction if I tried!!!! THe truth has got its own horribly messed up story to go along with them lately......

You are much desired, eh?!?! :bowlaugh: Wow.

I don't go to clubs. I always thought I would like it, too-- so it's a shame. Here's why.

The first time I went, it was me and Josh with two guys I didn't know or like much and a girl from work who knew them who I was getting to be friends with, and a long time close girl friend of mine. I was starting to feel a little sick, but wanted to go. One guy is with the girl from work, who from stories she's told me has been very mean to her. I begged her not to bring them, and she promised. But so much for promises. There was alcohol, and homeboy was drinking and driving. I'm not cool with that. He was also throwing his bottles and cans out the window-- also not cool. By the time we get to the club, I'm cold, I'm tired, and I'm feeling sick. As soon as we get in the club, everyone else but me and Josh run into the middle of the dance floor and start having fun, ignoring us. Not once did my close girl friend come up to me to ask if I was okay. I wasn't okay. I felt like shit and wanted to go home, and the attitudes of my club companions were just not helping. I ended up crying to Josh about it, and we were gonna take a cab, but eventually those people came around and took us home (but they weren't happy about it). All the way home we were ignored, and inside jokes were being said. I have just introduced a girl who used to be like my sister to a hoebag and now they both have forgotten about me. I just made up with my old girlfriend a year ago. But I haven't really seen her much sense. She apologized. By the way, the next day (after the club) I had no voice. I was in bed for days.

The second time, I went with a girlfriend from HS, just her and me. The club wasn't much of a club. It's an alternative type place with diff theme nights, and this night was fighting, where people get in a boxing ring and do amateur fights. It's not very dance-floor oriented, so right away it's not my type of club. There's bars and pool tables. Me and this girl pretty much just walk around a lot. These creepy guys keep hitting on me/us. We keep trying to walk away, but they're being very persistent. We decide that we want to leave, and when we get to her car, we see it's been broken into. Geniuses that we are, we left our purses in the car (under our seats, hidden from view) because we thought they'd get in the way. I was mad because I was on birth control at the time, and aside from my money and stuff, they got my pills since they swiped my whole purse. There's a group of kids around the corner, and they look awfully suspicious. We ask them if they saw what happened and they keep saying no, but I have a strong feeling that's BS. We call the cops. They come over and talk to us, and my friend is crying. I keep telling these damn people that there are some kids around the corner and we think they might know something, but the cops are all just whatever. We're freezing our asses off outside, and he's sitting in his nice warm (I can feel the heat coming out the window) car, with his e-mail up on his screen. There were two cops in individual cars, but no one approaches these kids. We actually watch as they walk away. I point to them "There, there they go..." and I'm ignored by the cops. He just writes out a little report.

This is why I no longer go to clubs. I would like to have fun and dance with true friends without any ugly robberies or friends ditching me, but oh well.

    end rant?

LOL Lisa, u gave it to'em didnt ya sustah! :bash: Group hug 4 Lisa! hahahha...

Well,...I've had my share of partyiN dayZ! Mostly in high school tho...but the worst ever, was I was visiting my grandmother's hometown (where i grew up as a kid)...when this dude that I knew (tryna holla at me, but it just WASN'T happenin!) That sucka grabbed my arm, talkin bout, "Come here"...i snatched my arm back, and told him I don't know what kinda chiKs hes used to dealin with, but he's not gonna handle me like that. Anyways, after I got up 2 dance again, then going back to our seats, he brushed his hands/fingertips across both of my breasts! Then had the nerve to pour some beer on my back as I tried to walk away. I turned around, jack slapped that sucka so fast, and was punching him like no end. LOL. I busted that @ss REAL gUd! And my oldest sister found out I was fighting, she was like, "unt unn! aint no nicca gonna mess with my sista!" She ran over, but by that tyme, I had finished handling my business. LOL. The club owner (who knew me), kicked him out of the club, and he ran to my grandmother's house to tell her the story b4 i got a chance to . But she raised me, and heard me out tho...cuz I told her it was a matter of respect ...

Other instance, some dude grabbed my booty...and when I turned around bout ready to F*** him up, he was looking innocent ...like "what?". I said, the club aint THAT dam crowded, and u betta watch your fuckin hands, punk! LOL. PPL just have a way of bringing the worst outta me in the clubs,... (cuz im really nice ) so I dont bother going to clubs, unless I have a friend thats spinning or throwing a private party. In this instance, I have absolutely NO problem, cuz its usually ppl invited that has class,...and if a dude try to handle me any kinda way,...that WONT happen cuz i have alot of big, strong athletic type "God brothas" that wont put up with that mess...

some idiotic guys just need a good beatdown tho... but not all...so its not just u Lisa...

LOL... Liz,..thas Exactly why i rather drive...so i can come and go as I please.
other than that, I love gettin my "jam on it" hehe

    peace,

Sweets...hehe damn straight, handle your buziness!! Thanks  You need to be able to put them in their place sometimes....

and ok..I agree...which is why I don't really go much anymore...clubs are very overated, they have totally lost the free spirited fun they used to be!

I'm with Be and Coz, clubs are very over rated. The only times I've gone to a club has been for someone else, mostlly for a good friends birthday parties. Other than that I've never seen a point in going. I don't drink I don't dance and I was never out to pick up women, so to me...what point was there. Even when I did go with friends to the birthday things, I can't say as I really enjoyed myself. Sure I danced a little but, was usually with one of her friends and they only danced with me because I was a friend of their friend and they knew I wouldn't be hitting on them. So I don't think I'll be setting foot in a club anytime soon unless Deity wants to go, or Be comes up here and does a show *hint hint..wink wink*

I guess I just had a sort of romantic idea about clubs. About lights flashing, crowded bodies dancing, techno music blasting, meeting eyes across a room and dancing with strangers, etc. etc.... just a whole air of mystery that appealed to me. But I think I watch too much tv. :happysad:

If so, then yeah... clubs ARE overrated.

hey now Liz...you are SO not alone. I think that is a lot of the attraction for going to a club. It just never turns out that way. We used to have a club here in town but it was so lame, dance floor the size of a flipping bathroom...not fun at all.

in Richmond they have a ton of huge clubs....but they are overrated..you go with the "idea" its going to be fun...and leave with the "knowledge" of I shouldn't have even gone!

The main one we usually went to, Have a Nice Day, you guys would have loved. Smilies were a theme.....and if you were a good dancer, a dj came & slapped a happy face on your ass.

Lol...yeah Bri & J. You guys seem REAL into that whole baby seal & kitten abuse....haha

I only went clubbing about three times in oz, to the same place each time so i dont REALLY know what its like there, but mates from work and my gf over in the uk always wanna go out , bear in mind i dont drink. i go out around once a month to keep my girl happy but i think a lot of it is simply keeping up appearances , hookin up 4 sex over here cause there are like three types of places we wander into, *1*. you have to push past someone to move by, e.g. to get to the bar, if u lose ur friends u wont find em again for at least 10 min and you can bearly hear anyone let alone dance, *2* they play, "classic" stuff , e.g the single most famous song by artists who have been out for 30 years, now .. in the daytime these people supposedly hate the song, but at night they are looking at each other smiling and bobbing their heads/dancing to the music THAT PISSES ME OFF *3* the real dance places where you will find club mixes containin no more than 5 words from an original song plus a deafenin beat with a few beeps, Now I listen to music quite loud , however, goin in these places sober, my ears are seriously ringing, if i stood two feet away from one of my drunk pals and screamed somethin 2 em, they wouldnt know what i said, BUT the next day if i was at work , stood 2 feet away and screamed the same thing, they would complain that i hurt their ears????

goddamn keeping up appearances... ohh and should i also add, the guys who would never let it rest if someone listened to backstreet boys in the daytime , they jump on the dancefloor if they start belting out "backstreets back" ...

    :bash: :blahblah: :stupid: :whogives:

That is why you go to the clubs that aren't crowded and you just bring a bunch of people with you. That way it isn't too crowded and you always got someone to dance with.
