Elle, astronomy is the study of the planets, basically the actual science of it all, and astrology is horoscopes and zodiac stuff :wink:wait a minute..is it astrology or astronomy???? anyway...

You can go ahead and try to catch it elle, but dont forget that the better meteor showers are the Perseid in August or the Leonid in November...but i have learned from experience that when it comes to astronomy, always try and view what you can, cause the weather wont always cooperate with you. And if you happen to miss it, it's no biggie cause they happen frequently...so dont kick yourself too hard. And dont forget to also check out http://www.spaceweather.com for helpful information about these things. They usually also provide helpful viewing tips and such!!
Because the sky is blue, it makes me cry...

heh, thanks for the right word, deity. I looked 'em both up on dictionary.com and the definitions were similar so i didnt' know what to say.
Well, as you know, i missed the good ones, so i'm gonna at least try to see the rest of the not so good ones.
What's the best time to watch 'em? this one says saturday morning, but how early? Should i just stay up til 3am tonight or will it be at like 5am?
well elle, it all depends on when the actual peak is; or rather, when earth passes the most into the comet trail...but i find it is best to view in the early morning hours of 1am, 2am, etc.; because that is when it should be nice and dark. But of course, take into consideration that the moon will be close to being full...which will definately make it more difficult to view any real meteor activity...unless there are some real bright fireballs and earthgazers...If you go out around 2 am, and it is still bright from the moon, I wouldnt spend more than a half an hour looking...if you dont see a whole lot of meteors, then call it a night, and try not to be too disappointed! Such is the life of an astronomy junkie  Sometimes you win some and get lucky, and other times everything seems to go against your favor.
Because the sky is blue, it makes me cry...
grrr...of course i was stupid enough to stay up til 1am before i checked outside only to see a million (give or take a few) clouds in the sky.
Hahaha, you didn't check the sky before then? that's pretty funny, hehehe.
