Alllllrrrriiiiiight! I gets me a check! :D
I see so much annoying stuff from the 80s now. When the recycled decades train came by, they forgot to grab the cool stuff.
Coz doesn't mind recycling...and neither do I.
Do you know what I miss most about the 80s?
"A Very Special Episode of..."-- y'know, when they used an asinine sit-com to tackle a serious issue?
Like the "Diff'rent Strokes" where Gordon Jump played a child molester, and at the end of the episode, Dudley says, with a cracking voice, "He tried to touch me!"
Y'know what else was good in the 80s? "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City". It's amazing how technologically advanced that game is, considering that it was made in 1986.
remember when Dudley had the Indiana Jones hat and no shirt?
Coz, u r getting multiple checks cuz they been playing it repeatedly.
Yeah I loved the 80's. I think it's 'cause I was only a kid, but life seemed so much simpler then.
I still to this day *cough* like 80s music*cough*. I liked the synths and the pop from then. it seemed a lot more innocent.
Oh yeah and I had a mullet. A nice big curly one!
I wear My Sunglasses at night.
Recycling can be cool, if done right.
I loved the 80s, but some things sucked and suck now.
Yeah, the problem with 80s nostalgia is that people seem to be nostalgic about a garish caricature of the decade, rather than the real thing. Not everyone dressed like an extra from "Teen Steam" (bonus Mississippi Fun Bucks to those of you who can tell me who was its star). It's like most people's memory of the 1980s begins and ends with "Pretty in Pink". I know some dude right now whose "thing" is to dress like Ducky; I don't think he's even old enough to have seen the movie when it came out!
Just recently, I saw the Nancy Reagan-inspired anti-drug music video called Stop the Madness, and after I got over the cheesiness, I was impressed by its more holistic portrayal of the look and feel of the 80s.
If you have never seen it, or haven't seen it since you were a kid (like me), take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5zJvX3pIY4
It features a ton of 80s celebrities. As a fun game, count the hypocrites...
i can confirm 3 hypocrites
I enjoyed New Wave music mostly. Hair bands I can do without, but meh. Some people enjoyed that too.
Its what we make of it that keeps it cool for each of us.
Something they can't recycle quick enough... gated snare!
Bring that back And ludicrous amounts of reverb! Seriously, I'll take Mutt Lange over Timbaland any day..
wow ur dialect is close to being a foreign language to me
I miss the kinds of fun I had in the 80s. We were so ignorant to so much. Not overexposed and overconnected to the world like now. I like "now", but I just got hit hard by a sudden longing for "back then". The Wedding Singer is a great movie. (and Coz is a part of it....lucky)
