oh crap
Huh.
Sounds much more like a publicity stunt than an earnest effort.
Sometimes, I think that the goal of PETA is not to promote "animal rights," but simply to keep the PETA name in the newspapers, and thus to guarantee the continued paychecks for the organization's officers.
peta are loony and you're absolutely right, its just to generate publicity and keep the ball rolling so to speak.
on the other hand.. human milk for humans makes more sense than from cows...
my physiotherapist nearly lost his mother to cancer cause a hormone used to promote increased lactation in cows apparently isnt inert when passed onto menopausal women, it promotes abnormal cell growth in human breast tissue ...
not to mention the link between casein protein and cancer , or the guarantee of cholesterol increase ..
over here we have some much more sane organisations, i dont think peta have a branch thank goodness !!

THOSE are my reasons for using other milks.. not breast milk though!!
also - the yahoo version of the article omits that the PETA letter was spawned by this idea that is already taking place in Europe ... consentual breast milk instead of dairy cows ... soups and sauces http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...east-milk.html
Ether is just looking for more breasts.
When you think about it, it IS absurd that we consume milk of another species.
the bees are less biologically compatible and the honey has a less complex construction..so hopefully its safer than milk BUT
I use agave nectar and rice syrup instead anyways..

both have less of an acidic taste and agave has a nice buttery flavour as well..
agave nectar is also the only natural sweetner approved for use by diabetics becuse it has a low glycemic index.
agaves have feelings too...
Agaves should be sent back to Mexico !!
Maybe. Maybe not. It may be regurgitation from the bees (?), but isn't it also their food source (and derived from nectar)? This would seem a little less weird than consuming some kind of bodily fluid of theirs intended for the intimate task of nursing their young...
Another wonderful thing about honey... mead! Tasty!
i've always felt weird about eating chicken eggs... it just seem so strange. i have pet birds, maybe that's why.
mmmmmmmmmmm..... eggs......
