I thought this data that I found on the Neilsen rating site might be interesting to fit in with the current "discussion" about African-American TV viewership. The first table is a list of the top 10 programs for the country. The second table is a list of the top 10 programs for African-American households. Check this out.

I find it interesting that African-Americans aren't watching "Desperate Housewives", and mainstream doesn't watch "Day Break", "Girlfriends" or "All of Us", or at least as much as AA households do. Mind you this is one week's worth of data, but I think it's an interesting look at the viewership differences between the two.
