Coz/Frek, here's Logic audio platinum for PC if either of you are interested. the daddy of all sequencers, though it's the final update for the PC version since apple bought logic. definately the most flexible sequencer out there hands down, but it has a super-steep learning curve, so i'd start with something like cubase before you mess with logic, frek cuz you seriouslly wont know what the fucks going on if you try jumping straight into logic :) did you still want sonar, coz? i could ask the dude who runs the hot.ee sites if he has it up there somewhere, i don't use it, so i dont know if it's up there or not.

what synths are you looking at frek? a lot of analog synths have inputs so you can run audio through their filter (which can be tight). are you looking at analog style synths? or more pcm ones like your roland?

shit is there anything you can't get atma! i don't know alot about synthesis really, i've always used presets and just tweak them a little bit, but i'm taking a class on synthesis this semester so i'll get there.......i love the sound of the nords though, especially the modular and lead 3 and that other new virus C unit is dope.......i can't afford any more equipment for a while though, but i have enough to get me through the project i'm working on cept i need a mic and small mixer.....the only other thing i plan on doing is make the album continuous like put the tracks back to back so they just run from one into the next. my sequencer doesn't have enough memory to do the whole thing like that so i'll have to find some way to splice it all together when i burn it all on to cd, i mean the decay of one and attack of the next'll over lap so.......i'm not sure what i need to do that but that won't be for a while yet anyway, and i'll probably just pick up that audiophile when i'm ready for that.....i'm doing everything hardware based so the only time i'll have to fuck with the computer is when it's all done.....i know you can do that shit coz, maybe i can bring my shit up when i'm ready for that if i can't figure it out?

I actually don't use them much myself (I use Studio Vision Pro 4.2.2 on a Mac) but I like to check em out. I also want to get my son more into the creative aspect, and Cakewalk is like the simplest shit to use, so I'm hoping that Sonar would be like that only more powerful. I've got Logic for both platforms, but like you said, that learning curve is a bitch! The shit is dope though. I've also got Cubase for both, but I fukkin HATE Cubase...too many fukkin windows. I'll probably end up on Digital Performer once SVP becomes too obsolete to use (probably a LOOOOONG time from now).
