oh yeah and the song was in response to Dylan's "Blowin in the Wind."
actually As I read I see now
Yeah the song Blowin in the Wind is actually written to protest the oppresion of minorites.
What the hell does "A Change Is Gonna Come" have to do with "Blowing In The Wind"? Perhaps you ment inspired by instead of in response to? :donno:
Come with the facts baby!
Oh, got your foot out yo mouf I see!

"Heavenly" is the best track on his new album.Quote:

None of your albums have ever disappointed me. Not a bad one in the bunch. Hell, the songs that don't make your albums don't disappoint! Keep crankin' em!
shake, shake....one time.
Was that a jab, Brian? 'Cause if it was, I'm with you. That's the one song on all the albums that I can say I really don't like. Everything else is is pretty great with the exception of a few songs that are just "good".
as Fred Durts Would say...
When is comes to shake...if i wuz you...plasic... and music for carnivors...
"I'm, in Agrreance..that i made some mistakes...with a few songs"
sorry about that
b.
dont worry about it bester,,,,,i happen to like all four.....ironically i think music for carnivores is one of your BEST songs.....and i like plastic and if i was u.....shake...on the other hand...is more or less a giggle inducer than it is a track changer
I had to rethink this...cause in 1991...shake would have been aiight...
Now its just a track I skip....
And I absolutely love the accoustic version of "If I Wuz U"
...and "Music for Carnevores" has really grown on me.
bRiAn
I totally agree with Brian and Syxx here, too. I like "If I Wuz U" and I love the acoustic "If I Wuz U". "Music for Carnivores" is a definite keeper and "Plastic" sounds like an early peek at Be Bastard. That's a good thing.
well here's the skinny....(no pun intended... 6)
if i wuz u..was revisited because i wasn't satisfied with the way it came out...same situation as i hate myself for you...
music for carnivores...i cringe when i listen to it because i believe the message gets lost in the title...while i was writing it ..it was called "music for canibals" which would've been better....but i changed it to carnivors when i was finished to make it more universal to flesh in general...beyond human experiences nah mean....but i should've left it alone...it would've been easier for people to swallow...
in a nutshell..
i believe i out thought myself..
plasic...i was just disapointed that i couldn't figure out a way to sing on that track instead of rap on it...i didn't really want to rap on it...
that's just what happens to me when i listen to those songs...
and let's not even talk about "The Beautiful"
b
i acutally really like Music for Carnivores.
shake....hmm if it catches me in the right mood. Plastic is one I just couldn't get into.
If I Wuz U...i like it, can't say I listen to it a lot but i like it. Where is there an accoustic version???? I don't have that one.
ahh..The Beautiful..I acutally like that one, i always listen to it when I have the cd or mixed cd in....
One song I have to say I was completely clueless to , thinking it was all flowers & roses, and once Be explained it & i got the twist to it i liked it even more.....was Perfect.
Yeah, "Carnivores" is a cool song, a great album starter. I can relate to that song totally. "Plastic" is just one song away from my favorite on the album. "Shake" I just considered a dance tune. Extend and remix it and that's what it'll be used for. And I love both version (that I heard) of If I Wuz U (probably the acoustic version a little better). The "Hate Myself" remix I like much better than the one on the album.
The important thing is that the album have more great songs than "filler" songs. And PM Dawn albums don't have too much "filler". They're always packed with great songs. NO DISAPPOINTING ALBUMS YET!!!

louis
music for carnivores..i never really took much notice of the title..just liked the song..great opening to dearest christian..
plastic..well when i got the bliss album it was years later..so i never really understood the point of the song
if i waz u..was never a favorite of mine..but as brian said the acoustic version is kool
shake was probably good in 91..but ive only really ever listened to it a few times..
but the "mistakes" u made in of the heart is what makes the album so great..its raw..its original it was the birth of pm dawn  if u did shake prt 2 on jim sullivan then i might have to :slap: you
Coz and Film-- yeah, I guess I should chill, huh? :donno:  Oh well.
Coz-- we're doing very well. But the "jelly belly" isn't really too too big yet. This girl at work asked to touch my belly and I let her... and (bear in mind, she's younger than me) she said "EW! It feels weird! It's ... soft." and I was like... Thanks... :umm: Like it was supposed to be all hard right now or something. grrr. Not a very sensitive thing to say to a pregnant lady! But she's nice and I know she didn't mean it that way. So I didn't freak out on her like I did on Film.
Film-- yeah dude... Dylan is Jewish, so I would hope he's not a fan of segregation. That's actually part of why I respect him so much-- he's a civil rights kinda guy. All that boring hippie folk music, ya know.
Be-- I understand any feelings you may have looking back on Shake and The Beautiful... but all the other tracks you mentioned were truly awesome. I can't even believe you were disappointed in some of them! That's amazing. So rock on.
love to all,
Elizabeth
(still hasn't got the Seal album, but will)

Like I said REALLY DONT MIND ME.......
Thats good to know.........I will let you in on a little secret as to why I don't like Dylan and I will expose it to everyone.
I was in a middle of a first night out with this particular girl and some idiot came in and started talking to us. By the end of the night......he tried to give his number to her. It turns out that he gets her a month later. THIS OCCURED MAINLY BECAUSE THEY HAD "SIMILAR" interests. We didn't click as well. That night he mentioned he likes Dylan.......and she gets all excited and says "I do too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" It was over from their.....a month later she was all his and crazy as it goes they are no longer together. It never amounted to anything. And I haven'y gotten back to her either. DOH!!!!!!! MAAAANNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!
It is hard to be white and really........i mean really be into black music. Because to me a person's personality is clear as day with what kind of music they listen to. So...........Dylan peeps and me would get along but I don't have a great experience getting their attention with "similar interests"
