Okay, I changed the output to my soundcard midi sounds instead of the crappy microsoft ones, but then it doesnt make any sound. only works with microsoft sounds. i tried reinstalling the soundcard ones like 3 times. is there any other way to get better sounds besides the ms ones?
i don't even know if this makes sense....

You may have already tried this, but Cakewalk probably has to have the midi channel set to "1" for it to come out (this is what I found with Cubase). :donno:
