The Fox network, host for the 2003 World Series, has asked Major League Baseball to consider a redesign of players uniforms for the remaining games of the championship.
A final version of the proposed design was not available at the time of this publication, however early versions depict the new Florida Marlins logo as a red letter "C" circumscribed by a blue circle. Additionally the proposed logo for the New York Yankees is a stylized uppercase letter "B" in red and outlined in white.
In separate confidential communications to each team which were obtained by this reporter, Fox suggested minor personnel adjustments. The specific players involved were identified only as "you know who", with instructions to "make it happen".
