For those who don't already know I'm a model helicopter pilot and I'm at a huge helicopter only event this weekend...now when I say "model" I don't mean toys-r-us either...I mean big$$$bucks gas powered monsters that will kill or send you to the ER real quick.
I figured I'd post a few pics for those who care
first off here's a pic of my new massive "investment" the money came in, the bills are paid for so Hax felt he needed another heli :mrgreen:

night flying with bottle droping, the night kits were installed and then 1/4 of a gallon of water was put in an empty fuel jug...then a white light stick was put in the jug...then the jug was thrown around the field by helis.

after a few drops they decided that they were tired of stoping the blades to put the jug on the skid so they tried to pick it up with the heli

major save of the day goes to the pilot who's tail broke off during some very agressive flying and got thrown about 100ft into another heli, that heli came down like a brick and the one who lost the tail landed safely with no tail at all on the heli...very badass flying skills at work.
A few other agressive flights got lawn darted but the lost tail save will go down in the history books.
oh yeah there was lots of night flying and fireworks being shot at the helis, the one heli flying through the fireworks was taking mortar and saturn missle hits like they were nothing, it also ate an uncountable number of roman candle flares with the rotor blades. Also a very small electric plane with some night lights got shot down with a mortar...I have it all on video. :D

the one to the left just crashed right in front of us about 10ft from another pilot flying. The other pilot was standing to the left of the flag and the heli is still sitting where it hit the ground...almost turned into an ER visit. :o
