weird movie recommendation....
southland tales is apparently a futuristic surreal farce (cross blade runner with magnolia with twin peaks)
about how the extreme left and the extreme right are going to inevitably undo the world and bring on the apocalypse...
it stars the rock aka duane johnson as the main character who apparently is a clone of himself and possibly a reincarnation of jesus?!?
as well as the guy who plays stifler from american pie who apparently is also a clone and a reincarnation of jesus
sarah michelle gellar play a pornstar who leads a marxist faction who kidnap and brainwash the rocks character into thinking hes a movie director....(apparently he in actuality is the son in law of the next republican president to be.)
justin timberlake plays this weird creepy sniper who hangs out on rooftops with a tank gun and qoutes the book of revelations alot...( hes also the narrator)he also shoots up at one point and ends up in a busby berkley style number where hes singing and dancing in an arcade with about 12 girls dressed as mariyln monroe to the killers song (all these things i have done)...
and mandy moore plays the rocks jaded rich bitch wife.....and the movie takes place on the last three days of earth.....its basically an dark adventure comedy about the apoclypse....
i advocate renting it so you can wrap your head around it.....
im still confused yet increasingly intrigued by what i just watched
