I was wondering is there anything besides fruity loops that is as easy as cake walk. A beat maker??

Acid is NOTHING like Pro Tools.
Try and be a little more specific about what you're looking for. :)

something with an easy to use piano roll. Like cake walk has bars and stuff. Something I can compose easily to.

pretty much any sequencing program will have the key editor piano roll like your talking, reason is a dope program for simplicity in making beats, but i hate the sequencer (but you can run it in rewire mode with cakewalk or w/e sequencer you want).

I hate the sequencer in Reason too. I can't use it. I'll stick with fruity loops and keep exploiting it in ways the owner's manual authors never imagined, thanks.

For some reason the demo didn't dispaly the piano roll on reason. I don't know why. It just showed the mixer and some special parts of the program which add affects to your sounds. It looked as if it was analog on your computer screen....that doesn't make sense but. whatever.
