I'm glad to be a part of this forum. P.M. Dawn is something that is always there for me when I need something positive. Just within the last year I thought I should pick up a P.M. Dawn CD, because I remember "Set Adrift On Memory Bliss" back when I was younger and I've come to realize now that it was such a great song. I am a very big fan on artists who use samples. It is an artform that seems to have been lost with the current state of "rap music". Anyhow, I noticed that P.M. Dawn sampled one of my favorite groups Kraftwerk on their album, so I decided I'd pick it up.
Once I got the CD in the mail and listened to it, I was BLOWN away. This is a CLASSIC hip hop album. The beats are just fantastic, the vocals with the singing mixed with rapping/poetry were perfect. I own hundreds upon hundreds of hip hop CDs and "Of the Heart..." is up there as one of the best with my other 2 favorites, Pharcyde's "Bizzare Ride II Tha Pharcyde" and "De La soul is Dead". Now I happily own 3 of P.M. Dawn's albums. I actually picked up my 3rd one today.
