I assure his album will not.. his got a energetic sence with his music.. yes, he has the somber tunes also.. but I wish u would check out "Get your hands off of my woman".. in fact.. i'll give the mp3 meself..

Wow, u serious? you really need to check him out.. He is an amazing talent thats very rare in the sense that his main instrument is the piano..

Check out Rock'n The Suburbs by Ben Folds.. one of my all time favorite albums.. (he also does every instrument on the album)

He formed a group called Ben Folds Five (same type of music) they had Three Albums.

Then he went solo and did Rock'nThe Suburbs which is a masterpiece.

Then he released a Live album called Ben Folds Live (its just him and the piano)

Now in april his new Songs for Silverman is coming out..

but if u check at www.attackedbyplastic.com he has a triology of ep's he recently did in the last year that are really good.. they will be a rarity soon.

How about composition WITH beats? I'm sorry, but even if my song doesn't have any drums it HAS to have a heartbeat. Guess that's just the African in me. ;)

My mama don't get it either. If you can't dance to it, it's out. Unless the words amuse her. I'm more of a listner when it comes to music...I like music that engages my mind more. Often that's more the melody stuff.

For me it's not about dancing, but it is about rhythm. I prefer my music with melody, and am quickly bored by music without it, but if it has melody without rhythm, even if it's hella slow, I'm always waiting for the rhythm to drop in to complete it, and if it doesn't I usually feel like I've been left hanging.
