Be, I don't have HBO so I havent' seen the commercial. I could probably find the song if I knew the artist, though. Do you know the artists name?

The original is a classic by The Turtles. This version was apparently in Austin Powers though I don't remember it. Yeah, it's dope as hell, Yvette and I have been feelin it watchin HBO, but it was Be's whinin about it that inspired me to get off my ass and track it down. :bigthumb:

Which is why I have always loved MP3s, and put my own out there. Those who only grab the MP3 would probably never have bought the CD anyway, but by having the MP3 they might play it for somebody who would. Most of the rest of people use MP3s to help them decide what to buy.

The key today is the same key that it used to be...make a good album and people will buy it. Make a bullshit album and they'll save their money and download the 1 or 2 songs that they like. ;)

That's exactly how I look at it. I have bought WAY more CDs since MP3s became popular, because they exposed me to so many different types of music that I may not otherwise have found.

But maybe I'm the exception. I have a few friends who haven't bought any new CDs since you could download them on Napster/Kazaa/Limewire.

Im not gonna lie here.. if it wasnt for all those rare and remixed pm tracks i found years back, im wondering how big of a fan i'd be.. it was so easy to just listen to them online, and doing that, i went and bought every pm album, plus singles and rare stuff i could get..

so although i had mp3's.. i paid my dues

and dont think putting up IF She Loves Me back in the day didnt help anything, cause it did.. i was seriously hooked after that.

same here.. i heard set adrift years back and didnt know who it was by,heard it again and then they said the name on tv so when i found a couple of the mp3s on the site i thought wow its not just the one great song so i bought all the albums within the next fortnight!
