Hey guys I'm trying to put together a list of mid to late 80's music on into the early 90's. Some of the stuff I've heard and liked I don't even remember who it was or who it was by. So I'm looking for you guys to help me come up with some tracks to check out to see if I remember them. Don't post anything like PM Dawn or Run DMC, etc. I have that covered already I'm looking for the stuff that may have popped up on the top 40, sounded cool but was never really heard again. Some of the songs I've found recently are Klymaxx - I Miss You, Breathe - Hands To Heaven, Sheriff - When I'm With You. Some of the stuff I'm trying to find may have not been on the top 40, I was just using that as an example since I found those on the old top 40 lists.

So if you guys remember any cool songs or might know of something I should check out please post it.

I can't stand the Genius of Love song... played out to the xtreme. I have to change the station if I hear it on the radio. :ugh: :barfkiss:

DJ Detroit Butcher
02-26-2004, 05:21 PM
luckily i don't listen to the radio. yes, genius of love, is the shit in clubs. specifically the 12" version.

p.s. hiero that tom's diner album isn't really a remix album. it has one of the dna mixes that were all over the radio back then, and then it's a bunch of cover versions or parodys done by other people, or things that are somehow related to it. it also has the excellent dna mix of vega's "rusted pipe".
it's a neat album tho.

damn...i'm sorry you feel that way chris...because you are depriving yourself of some great vibration...

i know they play it alot...but there's a reason for that....i mean ..i feel the same way about heartbeat...and good times...but when i hear em...i force myself to listen...they deserve at least that much respect from me..in my opinion..

i mean shit...people used to say that about set adrift...some people still feel that way...

but yeah...i feel like it's one of the greatest songs of all time...like billie jean and kiss

my two cents
