I'm going to have to go with 2 on Coz also. I don't know you that well so I'm taking a guess. As for Runi, I will have to say 3. That was 2 e. z. And my sweet ginger liz however is a tough one. But I won't pick number one. So I would have to go with 2. Now my turn.

1. I was kicked out of my house at 13

2. Since childhood, I have become a mosquito's favorite dish.

3. I was hospitalized for asthma as a kid

4. My new favorite drink is Vanilla Coke

Do the math.

Cozmo D

Elizabeth I would guess 4...I find it hard to think ofyou even allowing anybody to make you homecoming queen.

Stan, yours are pretty hard...you have such diverse personallities. I'll go with 1.

Let's wait a couple of days before we give answers to give other peeps a chance to join in. :)

Hey Foxy! Damm girl, stop being such a stranger! For you I'd say #5...for the same reason as Mistress...YECH!!!

Mistress, for you I'd say #1, 'cause you seem to be the perpetual student type, which would mean that you would probably have your PHD by now, instead of just starting on it. Of course, that would mean that #3 is true, which might signify a pause in the schooling, which would explain the delay on the PHD...oh well...#1 anyway.

Rory (Azathoth), you've been gone so long that this will be a completely uneducated guess, but I will go with #3 because I have absolutely no idea what lutefisk is. :yum: :umm:

I'm guessing #5 for you Big Red, people from Tennessee don't have relatives in Europe.

OK, here's my answer ya'll. It would be cool if when we answer these that we add a little elaboration, after all, the object is to get to know each other.

The answer to mine is #4. I've never smoked or sold crack in my life, in fact, it didn't even appear until after my drugging days were done. Even if it had, I probably would have stayed away from it, I never dealt with any (in my opinion) destructive drug.

Well, let me correct that, I did snort cocaine a couple of times (didn't care much for it, wasn't worth the money) and I did smoke angel dust for about a week before I realized that that was NOT the thing to do...heheheh. Oh, and I did sniff spot remover for a couple of days also...another NO NO...and I also snorted morphine twice, both in 1 day (1st time was without knowing what it was, after the 2nd I decided that I didn't like the nodding  ).

So, I guess I never dealt with any destructive drug FOR LONG    ...and I never sold any drug other than pot.

My aunt (mother's little sister) has been a nun since I was about 5.

My mother runs New Nazareth House Inc., a shelter for unwed mothers. I am on the board and my wife is secretary. It was actually run in our house so I was also associate director as well as head of security. My mother retired 2 years ago so the shelter itself is actually non-operational at the moment, but the corporation is still active.

When I was 11 I got mad at my mother about watching Walt Disney (for the life of me I can't remember why  ). So, I stole the rent money ($85) and conned my way onto a greyhound bus to Las Vegas.

My great-uncle (grandmother's brother), Stewart Martin, known in boxing circles as Stewgie (not sure of the spelling though) was 1 of George Forman's early managers.

Who's Stanley and Tinker?

Foxy11
04-23-2003, 09:36 PM
well the majority of you guessed correctly that my lie was #3, I was never an extra on Dawson's Creek. I did go to an open call, got interviewed and they took my picture but I never got a callback, which is probably for the best because like Stanley I have never watched the show a day in my life.

#1 yes i do play the bass guitar  . I've had my bass for over two years and taught myself the basics, and have currently been taking professional lessons for about 6 months.

#2 I am a graduate of Virginia Tech where famous poet Nikki Giovanni is a professor, and one day in her office over bit of light conversation and some pringles she agreed to give me a recommendation for my master's degree. She's pretty cool, she has Thug Life tatooed on her forearm and she likes to talk about herself a lot.

#4 One day while discussing some of my favorite music groups with one of my sorority sisters, she happened to mention that Martin Gore of Depeche Mode was her first cousin...imagine my surprise, having been a huge depeche mode fan since I was 16 and had no idea Martin Gore was half black :donno: . Anyways shortly after that revelation, her dear ol' coz invited her to come to DC to one of their concerts and hang out, and she invited me along...let me say it was truly one of the best nights of my life. They are really awesome, after the show we all kinda hung out in their hotel lobby around the piano and sang ol' motown songs and made a nuisance until about 4am (I've got some great pics!), they invited us to go with them to their next show in Miami, but me being the nerd that I am had to get back to Tech to give a presentation in my feminist literature class the next day (that I got an A on of course :flipoff: )

And...#5...RANCH DRESSING!! also known as the "nectar of the gods" goes great with just about everything :yum: , and I put it on just about everything, I won't touch spaghetti unless it's got some ranch on it...try it you might like it

Ok, my answers....

NO ONE GUESSED MINE CORRECTLY -- I am so disappointed in you guys!!!! :slap:

1- I graduated from college at 19

This is totally TRUE!! I graduated from H.S. at 16, and college at 19. I then took some time off to travel (lived in Europe for a few years)and to figure out what I wanted to concentrate on for graduate school...

2- My all-time favorite movie is Casablanca

Totally TRUE...I think it's the best movie of all time -- it has action, comedy, romance, drama...the dialogue is amazing...and Humphrey Bogart smokes a cigarette like no one else I've ever seen...

3- I'm divorced from an Italian soccer player

Sad, but TRUE...I'm not proud of this one...I was living in Italy, I had just broken up with my college boyfriend, I was lonely, and I met this soccer player (he was scouted for Inter-Milano which is like the Yankees of Italian soccer)...well it was Italy, it was all very romantic, and one thing led to another, and I very foolishly got married...and then I woke up and realized "what the HELL did I do?"...hey, what can I say? lovely setting, a little too much vino, impetuous youth...dangerous combination...so now you all know my biggest, stupidest mistake, thus far...

4- Ferrets are my favorite type of pet

This is totally, completely FALSE!!!!!! I HATE FERRETS!!!! they are stinky, ugly, hyper, mean, nasty little creatures that aren't even good enough to make a coat out of...I have no use for ferrets, and I cannot understand keeping them as pets...and this is coming from someone who has had pet rats...

5- I worked on Broadway and Hollywood as a make-up artist

This is TRUE...I worked on "Jerry McGuire" (no, I didn't get to make up anyone important...just some lower-level bit part people), a few commercials, helped design the make-up and hair for the broadway show "The Lion King", and various off-broadway productons I'm sure most of you have never heard of...it was alot of fun, and helped pay the bills...

This was way fun!!!!

Louis85
04-24-2003, 09:17 AM
And my man Tim gets the prize! #4 was false, I never trained to be a boxer although I always wanted to. The rest are all true.

I love coasters and will attempt to push my total count above 150 this summer by attempting to visit 6-8 parks. Yes, at 12 I designed and constructed (in the backyard) my own chemistry lab to do experiments (I was always big into hobbies). Moms didn't think I was serious until she came home one day and found a 10X10 section of the yard roped off--construction had already begun at that point! I have never found a sport that I didn't like for some reason or another. Love sports, even the ones people question as sports, i.e. golf and fishing. And of course you can all relate to listening to the PM Dawn song everyday.

I find all of your questions fascinating. I don't think I've guessed one right yet, for anyone!

Coz, here's what would happen: I would go thru all of the training, the road work, the heavy bag workout, the skipping rope, etc etc etc. Then I would step in the ring to spar, and my sparring partner would smack the f*@k out of me and that would be the end of my boxing career. Lights out, end of fantasy.

Tim I think your false is #2.

Ok, here are my answers
1. I won all-region twice during my high school football career
This is true. I had too small of a body frame to play collegiate football at the time.

2. I collect old american coins
This is true. I've been collecting since I was around 8 and have a hell of a lot of coins.

3. I listen to music when I go to bed every night.
This is true, I put the playlist on random and let em roll.

4. My cousin played pro-football for the redskins and packers.
This is true. My cousin played collegiate and pro football for both of these teams. He was on the umm I believe 1998 Packers team when they won the superbowl but he was injured and eventually had to quit.

5. Every other summer I spend in europe with relatives.
Yeah coz, you're right. 99% of people in tennessee have never left the country. Nah I don't know that for sure, but I would bet money on at least 90%.

Cozmo D

And you're correct. Wide Receiver + Defensive Back (Corner to be specific). I won all-region for defense and led team in tackles, etc. If I was bigger I probably would have been able to play at least a division II school.... which is what my cousin played at.

Believe it or not, when he played for the packers, he was the strongest person on the team. Including Reggie White, William Henderson, George Koonce, Santana Dotson, and Gilbert Brown.

STANLEY C. TAYLOR

Since Red and Louis had already answered theirs. That leaves Robin, d'I mean Tim. Yours is a tuffy, So I going to gamble a nerve and go with 5.

Everyone else is answering so Why not? Hopefully this will answer Runi's question.

Only Coz and Chief got the right answer. I had never ran away from home. I had to many people that loved me too much. So much that they kicked my scrawny ass when I got out of line. Sounds cold but if the old folks hadn't taken care of business we ( my brothers and sister) would be in prison or dead. Either that or my parents would be getting out of jail by now. LOL. I always joked with them when I got older saying "that if I knew that hitting a child was abuse I would have called the cops on them years ago." All kidding aside. My parents r what I call old school. In their days when they came home from school, and Ms. Patsy told them to go inside and do their home work, they'd do it. Otherwise, Ms. Patsy told mom and dad, and there was an ass-whoopin' waiting in the wings. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's all about values and morals. Not abuse but discipline. Now for the other answers.

Yes, I have been bitten by so many mosquitoes that I could be put in the Guiness Book of World Records. Well That's all I have to say about that

I was Indeed hospitalized for asthma what I was young. I remember it like it was five minutes ago. I was 7 at the time when I was running a high fever and my mother took me to the hospital. The doctor gave me some kind of pink medicine that was so nasty that I puked all over my mother's shirt. (true story) It was a yellow shirt that has a saying on it. and "Jesus" was the only word that I can remember. She started crying and the doctor told her that I wasn't going to die. So they admitted me.
While there the only company I had was this Energized Spiderman doll that my mother brought me to keep me company. I was playing with it re-enacting a scene that I saw from a soap opera. My grandmother was into those stories. Where two men were fighting and one shot the other. I had this tube in my left arm that they used to feed my veins and I guess it came out while I was playing. Before I knew it I was in the emergency room and they put they gave me a shot and put the tube back in. It hurt like hell and I was crying. I still owe those pricks a can of whoop-ass. But I'm still alive to tell you all this so I guess I owe them that much. I remember my last night there. I remember the sent me into this room with a lot of other patients. There was this young lady who asked me my name and I told her. I never saw her again or remember anything after that.

Number 4 is true, sorry M. But I love Vanilla Coke. I love it! I love it!! I LOVE IT!!!

LUNCHTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!!!!

Hot damn What was that. Must have been Sequel. Whew! anywhos, Mistress you're disappointed because I got yours wrong. Well love the feelings mutual (wink, wink). But it's only a game.

The last one was a trick question. I do have a lot of Science Fiction and Fantasy novels. I never had the time to count them so I can't be sure how many. As far as reading them. Some I am in the middle of. Among them are.

Star Wars: Vector Prime
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
American Gods by Neil Gaiman ( I can't seem to put this 1 down. When I'm done I might do a review on it sometime. If no one has read it already)
Batman-Justice League of American: The Stone King
Legacy and Icon both by Frank Frazetta

Well I hope that answers your questions. I be back later for round two

So if you don't see a signature, chances are, It's me. Understand all that good. Now do you mind explanining to me?

nup.. havent done it apparently so here goes..

1. my grandfather was a multilingual spy posing in various countries under aliases as a businessman to report back to ASIS (australias international spy agency)about countries planning possible strikes, attacks or acquisitions on/to other countries...he died in 2001 and we are still unable to find his personal weaponry wherever he had it at his house...

2. I have a tattoo i got the only time i was REALLY drunk,it covers 25 of my back, its a big swirl/wheel (yeah the make you dizzy kind)the regret after is the main reason i gave up alcohol and haven't drunk since and i hope to get it removed down the track when i have sufficient $$$ and am not worried it will look like s*** after the removal

3. my dad and his identical twin are regarded in my family as the luckiest yet most reckless guys you'll find, dad has had his back broken by a horse jumping and landing on him putting him in a wheel chair afterwards, prior to this he had been struck by lightning, the twin has been runover by a car.. ohh and collectively they were held in a crazy dudes house at gunpoint until they distracted him and got away..

4. The main trigger for my switch to vegetarianism was my dad offering me a mcdonalds burger 25 min after i stopped to try to get a woman out of her crashed car to find various parts of her impaled/sliced followed by her dying.. the thought of the meat made me hurl then during the following week i decided i didnt need to eat it anymore anyway

HEY, BE!

Wow! Gotta pick out one? Hmmmm... I can see #2 ... I can see you being an entrepreneur at a young age... I don't remember hearing about the Jacksons at a Madonna concert... Next to no one surprises me when it comes to hitting on others (especially after a bit of alcohol!)... $2700 could be 100-150 videos - lots of time required for that, but if you were layed up at home, that's 16+ hours a day - over 500 hours in the month...

I'll say #1?

Of course, not being around when you and the old-timers used to chat alot, there are probably some inside jokes I don't know about...

Alright, alright... I'll do it. Here are mine:

1. When I was little, I swallowed a nickel. When my mom rushed me to the hospital to get x-rayed, the nickel didn't show up on the film; it had miraculously vanished.

2. One of my grandmothers was white. To escape persecution for being an interracial couple, she and my grandfather moved to another town, where she started a new life, "passing" as a light-skinned Black woman.

3. From 1999 to 2003, I lived with my father in Charlotte, North Carolina, working as a pastor's assistant for his ministry.

4. I have never broken a bone.

5. My cousin's acquaintance with Muhammad Ali is directly responsible for my parents getting together, and thus, for my very existence.

1. I have been romantically involved with more women than men.

2. I managed to break my nose, my front tooth, and my ankle all with one fall.

3. When I was younger I was left handed. I decided that I wanted to be right handed instead, so I stoped using my left hand.

4. I once locked myself out of my house. There was a blizzard, and I had to walk over a mile before I found someone that was home.

5. I once sold a guy midol, and led him to believe they were strong pain killers.
